Anyone know if you will be able to order a 14 for sure in Jan.?

or is it speculation?

I called a local Jeep dealer and of course salesman was totaly clueless of their own products... I hung up in his face

This always amazes me. How can anybody be so clueless about the product they sell? Even if Jeep isn't feeding them information directly, it seems like they would at least be interested enough to do a little research on their own. At least I would, but maybe that's just me.

Just curious how are the order banks going to open before the car even makes its debut? So people ordering on 12/5 or later will be ordering a vehicle they have technically never been able to see or drive? Kinda weird if you ask me. I mean I know its just a mid-cycle refresh, but from whats been said its a significant refresh and enough so that it would be tough to order without even seeing whats its going to look like, or how the 8speed tranny will be.

Hi Milous-

You are awesome, I appreciate your help.

Im am interested in an MY14 Overland Summit asap, my wife and I are carpooling and that situation needs to end.

If I test drove a 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 is it the exact same Navi/Uconnect Media Center R4 8.4 inch screen as will be in the MY14 Grand Cherokee?

Is there any timing benefit to ordering it 12/5 (if possible) or will dealerships order it themselves and have the stock in at the same time anyway?

One of the reasons I declined the MY13 due to 0-60 speed, will it be much improved and I assume the 8 cyl will be the quickest of the Overland Models?

Thank you very much!!

Yes, new Ram has the same R4 radio. 5.7L will be quickest Overland, 0-60 times will be improved w/8 speed but to what extent I do not know, have not seen those specs. The sooner you order the better, and of course with special order you get it configured exactly as you want vs trying to find same options/colors on one in dealer inventory.

If you're concerned about that get the SRT Hemi or a CRD (although you'd have to wait on that for awhile). I'm sure you can pick up a 2013 MY Hemi at a better deal now.

I will post this in a few different areas, but for all forum members I will have special pricing on the 2014s.

If you are a member of Tread Lightly or have Affiliate Rewards thru your employer I will be selling all new 2014 GC Laredo/Limited/Overland/Overland Summit at invoice less 2%. I will only do 8 of these deals per month for the first 3 months. I can not do the SRTs at that price because they do not qualify for the AR programs.

EDIT: I really don't want to do courtesy deliveries. It never works out the way I want. The first 2 of the 8 for December order are spoken for.

Hello Pat,

I am interested in placing an order for either a 2014 overland or summit. I live in St Charles so making a courtesy delivery should be cake. Just kidding,

Thanks

From what I've heard the CRD will be later, probably end of Q1 2013.

I already have dibs on the first one off the line so you can be second.

Since the CRD production doesn't start until March, I would say not until February

I noticed today that WK2Jeeps.com now shows "January" as when the order banks open. I found a dealer in Oak Ridge Tenn that is a gearhead and said that often we get info on the internet that is more current than what he is provided. He logs on to the Jeep dealer website about every day and gets a status but it is not all inclusive. He did see where they stopped taking orders for the 2013 SRT8's on 10/30. I am planning to place an order as soon as the banks open and an MSRP is set. Any info that you folks have will be appreciated

Has anyone contacted any dealers to see if they have any information yet about ordering?

Just for fun I contacted a few to see what they knew. Most new nothing and a few heard very little. Pat From Fields still know most!!

Milous, any idea when they will get information on the 14?
