Thanks a lot, I am now scarred for life.

And to think, I had trouble as a kid deciding which of the Island babes was hotter.

Re: 2014 Overland vs. 2012 SRT

I'd love to own an SRT but the big issue for me was that the SRT doesn't have any real Offroad ability.

It's a shame since with the Air Suspension system, if Jeep wanted to, they could make an SRT that also had Offroad ability. They could call it the SRTrail Edition.

But I guess building that kind of DO EVERYTHING, ULTIMATE SUV is currently beyond Jeep's ability or desire. Only the Porsche Cayenne and Range Rover Sport are in that class.

Re: 2014 Overland vs. 2012 SRT

I wish Jeep would drop a 6.4L HEMI into an Overland so that they could truly compete with the Range Rover/Range Rover Sport. In my opinion, the looks and luxury feel of the JGC are on par with the Range Rover, but just not the power of the Supercharged engine in the Range Rover.

Hey, Maryann has held up pretty well. Nice rack, too.

I don't feel I need a supercharged engine. Laws of physics requires more and more HP but smaller and smaller increases in performance. 390 ponies is more than enough. I can live with my JGC driving Marynanne to the Botox clinic.

hope the engine doesn't lean to the right like her rack... sliding slowly to her knees.

At this point, I have decided I like the upgrades in the 2014 enough to sacrifice 1.5 seconds 0-60 over the 2012 SRT, and I'm also not big on buying used. Besides, I still want to offroad some (more than just dirt roads). Maybe when the 2016s come out I'll go for the SRT and get one of the refreshed Wranglers to offroad in.
I recommend that you test drive both. The differences can't simply be summarized by comparing 0-60 times. The focus on all around track and street performance makes this a different beast from the other trim levels. If you are interested in occasional off road travel then the SRT may not be a good fit.

Don't forget about the the SRT frequent tire changes.
