Re: 2014 Overland White Stitching on Dash

I've pretty much blocked the white stitching reflection out of my mind, but I still notice it on bright, sunny days. Not a big problem. I certainly wouldn't go after it with a sharpie. But if someone comes up with an easy, safe way to darken the stitching without screwing up, or marking the leather of the dash, I'd be interested in turning down the white to a less noticeable shade. Any fabric or interior detail specialists out there with any ideas?

The camaro forums are full of dye pens being used with good results. I'm still thinking about it. If I saw a summit in person and liked how it looks I might move a bit faster.

I'm also thinking about this. But I guess I'll wait for someone else to lead the way and report back.

What about just placing a dark cloth over the white thread. Thought I could do this as a last resort if it bothers me too much once I get my Overland. Al

Re: 2014 Overland White Stitching on Dash

I guess it doesn't bother me enough to cover it up unless there's an easy way to do it that also looks good. Actually don't mind the look of the white stitches on the dash itself, and the reflection in the windshield is only slightly bothersome in very bright sunlight.

Re: 2014 Overland White Stitching on Dash

When the 14s just came out, my dealer left me drive an Overland with Indigo Blue a few miles and I never noticed the white thread reflection in the windshield. Had I not been on this forum, maybe I wouldn't even be looking for it. Al

Re: 2014 Overland White Stitching on Dash

I hear ya! I drove mine for a couple of weeks before I noticed it. Really, it's not that big of a deal.
