Re: 2014 QL: Automatic Lowering?

I have it too, on an April build.

The main hardware difference is in the front air spring/shock assemblies and rear shocks. The newer ones have more compression travel than the older build ones. Theoretically you could upgrade to having this feature...but...with the front struts (air spring and shock) being (at retail) over $1000 each, I'm not sure it's worth it for most.

So are you saying the QL travel difference is different between the newer and older builds?

Not based on what I've read.

Mine is May build so I missed out. Sucks they didn't get that feature into early builds

I remember when I was looking for my Jeep that some literature stated NRH at 8.1" and some said 8.7", both referring to 2014 JGC with QL.

I don't really care that my Summit doesn't have that feature. Just something else that will give trouble down the road.

Just like I don't really care that my '14 Summit HAS it (Nov. build). It doesn't matter to me either way. Just another thing to potentially go south.

Re: 2014 QL: Automatic Lowering?

I use the park feature always so it would be nice as an auto feature. I don't think it would compound any issues that may arrise from QL.

Re: 2014 QL: Automatic Lowering?

I don't know why they'd have to have different air suspension components to enable the exit/entry mode feature when it should be a simple matter of enabling the software to do automatically what you now have to do manually. LOL... typical automotive industry decision making.

I have an early build 2014. I had it in for an oil change a couple of days ago and asked the dealer to look into it. They were able to turn the auto exit/entry mode feature on through the U-Connect with their scan tool. However, nothing happens and the feature still doesn't display under settings > suspension. So that would confirm that more than just a software change is needed.

Re: 2014 QL: Automatic Lowering?

I agree. If all it takes is me pressing a button below a certain speed to lower it, a simple firmware upgrade should be all it takes to make this auto. Just like Aero height is automatically lowered at higher speeds.
