2014 rear factory sub

is there any way the dealer can adjust the output of the sub and rear surround speakers?

Re: 2014 rear factory sub

What do you mean adjust? All the sound adjustments are controlled through the radio. If you want better sound output, look into upgrading the sub and speakers.

Re: 2014 rear factory sub

Adjust = alter = make changes to. FYI there are no controls for the sub or rear surround on the radio, hence the question can it be done via the dealer's computer. This is not unfeasible based on aftermarket equipment capabilities.

Jeep5.7 I'm quite confident that the system is not programmable like an aftermarket processor. So whilst I actually understood your question, the answer is the same.

Cheers,
Steve

Greetings,

The only solution is to rip the existing system out and use an aftermarket DSP such as the JBL MS-8 or the Alpine PXA-H800. This is going need 2 aftermarket amps as well. Then you will want to change the sub and other speakers. Be aware, It will get very costly.

For additional ideas, check out the main forum for WK2 AUDIO.

Best for now.

Re: 2014 rear factory sub

The bass in the '14, at least mine, is shit and has been since day one. I have an overland and expected way better sound than I am currently receiving. I plan on taking it in again soon to see whats going on.

Note: no this isnt me being old and hating bass like my dad, im in my late 20's and still love sound, this sound however just seems so poorly designed.

Re: 2014 rear factory sub

I find that a considerable amount of the "bad" bass is actually emanating from the front doors. Due to being part way through some wiring work in the back I've been driving around with the sub removed. The bass still sounds "wooly" and uncontrolled in a lot of material, even with the bass wound down 3 increments.

Cheers,
Steve

Re: 2014 rear factory sub

My past 07 as well. This was a big purchase for me and I'm kinda let down. Sure overall this is a great car. But I feel kinda slighted when this 14 overland doesnt have features/ qualities to it that one from 7 years ago did.

Re: 2014 rear factory sub

Doesn't the Summit have a better sound system than the Overland.

I have the bass lowered in the equalizer as it's kind of muddy on most of my MP3 files which is probably due to the compression of the audio signal.

Re: 2014 rear factory sub

Well with the radio controls you can turn up the base, turn down the trebel, and fade the sound more toward the back of the Jeep. Also, locate the amp, under the driver seat I think, and see if there is a volume knob or dial on it and if so let us know, and turn it up.

You are correct. The Limited/Overland trims have nine speakers and the sub, I believe of Alpine manufacture. The Summit has nineteen speakers and sub, and appear to be made by Harmon Kardon.
