Re: 2014 SD/USB area is HUGE...room for CD player too?

The Buick Enclave I traded in for my Overland had tons of storage, and little nooks and crannies all over the place. Before I took delivery of my Overland I was a bit concerned about storage space because of concerns I read about on this forum. I've got to tell you, I'm just incredibly pleased with all the great storage spots I've found. Now I'm looking for more crap to keep in my truck!

The area around spare tire under the cargo floor is HUGE ... You don't realize how big it is until you keep stuffing stuff in there. It just takes and takes and takes ...

What I don't like is cargo area size. I wish it was a little bit bigger. Hatch is cut on an angle so big square boxes will not fit. Also it sucks that the flipper glass is gone... with bikes mounted on the hitch rack it is huge pain to get to my stuff. I don't know what Jeep was thinking. You don't use it very often but when you have to it is a lifesaver.

The lack of flipper glass will no doubt drive me crazy once I get mine next week, I use it all the time on my liberty... I will just start using the back seats as the primary area.

It would be even nice if it was hinged so you could get to the bins without emptying the cargo area. The addition of the bins themselves is a really nice touch.

Hey, guys! I have GC Limited 2014. However, no CD/DVD player. I was under impression, that it would be there.. I think it would be cool to play movies once in a while. Anyway, does anyone can suggest me what to do? I mean, should I get a DVD player and install it there somewhere? Thank you in advance!

If you had the CD player, it would be in the center console between the seats. This WILL NOT play DVDs or videos at all.

Maybe you can buy a portable CD player that fits on top of the sd slot area. And if you really needed to play a CD, then you could connect it to the AUX port and play it.
