2014 Steering Wheel Radio Buttons/Switches

Hi everyone,
quick question. I have a my2014 Summit and one of my only pet peeves are the radio buttons behind the steering wheel. They are too clicky with a very loud sound and it just feels cheap. I sat in a my2015 Summit at the auto show and noticed that they've changed these buttons with much better "soft" buttons.

My question is, can these buttons be replaced without replacing the entire steering wheel?

It'd be nice if it were an easy replacement, I too hate those "clicky" buttons.

Here here. I'd be interested in that too.

Re: 2014 Steering Wheel Radio Buttons/Switches

I suppose if you have the correct OEM part #, you can replace the wheel audio control buttons (perhaps the plastic module) with the '15 version. But is it worth the extra cost and effort for a minor grievance? Eventually you will get used to it. Personally I prefer the knobs with the rubber dials- one of the fewer interior things in the Jeep that actually has a premium feel to it. On another note, I would love to replace the glove compartment lid and lever- every time I open and close it, there is a cheap plastic clicking sound that actually creaks. This is where the German counterparts and RR wins hands down.

Those buttons are 'quiet as a mouse' in my 2013.

They are not that loud in our 2014 either. Maybe they will be less noisy over time after some use.

I agree completely. The glove box is a little annoying, but I learned to ignore it.

Watched a review of the Ferrari LaFerrari the other day. I guess the parts bin is deep in Fiat as right behind its trick steering wheel are the exact same radio buttons as on the back of our Jeeps. Yep those buttons made it all the way to a 1 million plus dollar SuperCar.

Yeah, but in the Ferrari they go 'clicky' much faster.
