Re: 2014 Summit Lemon

I noticed the peeling mouldings yesterday when I test drove the owners Summit at the dealership. I mentioned it to him since it was on the front passenger fender. When they pulled up the Summit I was interested in buying guess what. The moulding on the passenger side front fender was popping out on that one also. You can see the double sided tape on the back. The moulding I speak of is the fender flare.

Re: 2014 Summit Lemon

I created a thread on here a while ago that showed a loose ground cable and where to check for it. I would not be at all surprised if this was one of the issues you where experiencing. My jeep had a list of codes 30 deep when it happen to mine.

Re: 2014 Summit Lemon

A couple of days ago, while installing the transceiver in my Jeep, I decided to check for fuses that were not completely inserted, and found most could be pushed in an additional ~1/8"... found the same on my wife's 2014 as well. The ground connections seem to be plenty tight, and neither of us has had any problems (so far) as previously described.

Would the fuses have become totally dislodged? I am not sure, but pushing them in all the way cannot hurt anything.

The dealer claims it's the ABS module and it was ordered. Very skeptical because all is fine now

If you read some of the threads on the Christmas tree dash, you might be less skeptical ... Or not.

Thanks guys. I'll have the ABS module installed as soon as it arrives.

I would never lie about a thing like that.

True, I did have the problem. But, in my case they changed the PCM.

Your notes must be getting sloppy.

You got me there buddy!

We spoke about the different issues and the connector. I had said there were a few causes but yours was the PCM in that case.

Fail!

Re: 2014 Summit Lemon

Wonder if techs are being instructed on how to fix the real problem when replacing the PCM or ABS module...

The PCM was rare, there were some bad ABS Modules.... not sure if the part has been changed?
