ah no I am not going to just live with two mismatched speakers starring me in the face every day and a misaligned tailgate on a vehicle I just paid over 50k for. If you want to just let people rollover you in life that's fine but I am not like that. Glad you have a good dealer but many of us on here do not and there are by far more bad ones out there than good ones.

Well they have been making it for over 6 months now Mopar better get their act together. They supposedly have it on order now I guess we will see what shows up next week. will probably be wrong and nobody will bother to verify before bringing me in again Im sure.

Well I guess I would take the mismatched speakers over all the damage you are expecting. If you think they are going to do all that damage replacing it why would you want that? As far as the tailgate would you really have noticed if you had not read it on here? The thing is when they start making adjustments that don't always mean it will be better. It might be worse and how much aggravation do you want over something so minor? As far as dealer they are the only ones that can really work on your vehicle anymore. I know a lot of times they seem to not know what's going on, but the independents know far less and don't have access to all the information dealers do. So you just need to find a good dealer and hope for the best.

Hopefully they contacted Mopar Specifying to get the correct part. When it does come in, and it's correct, let us know the part number.

There are varying degrees of the tailgate issue and you cant judge something that you have not seen. Don't belittle a situation that you know nothing about. Dealers are not "the only ones that can really work on vehicles anymore" that is a bunch of crap. There are certain things that should go to them and of course and unfortunately any warranty work but private shops can do fine on most service if you have one you trust but again they can not support warranty work. I have private shops I work with, trust and like that do great work. I have never found a good dealership service department yet to date. Yes I am well aware that I need to find a good dealer that is the problem they are so few and far between. I am within a stones throw of about a dozen jeep dealers so I will start working my way down the list. Hopefully this will be it for a while because maintenance items are completed by myself and private shops.

Private shops don't have the experience nor the support to troubleshoots issue. They are fine for an oil change or something like that, but I think while its under warranty its best if the dealer has all the oil change records. As far as your other issues I was just responding to what you posted.

No I don't agree you are wrong. Anyone can do maintenance on a vehicle while under warranty the dealer, a private shop or you can do it in your own garage if you want to a dealer can not require that you have maintenance done at a dealer while under warranty. The requirement is to keep accurate and complete records and receipts.
In my experience private shops do a far better more thorough job than dealer service, yes there are some things they can not do but the majority of work they do better. To say a private shop does not have experience or the ability to troubleshoot problems is ludicrous and you don't have any idea what you are talking about.

Have you tried asking about removing the grill/ring at a very good auto stereo shop? They would have more experience at this type part as they probably replace that factory tweeter quite often.

Private shops do not have the support that a dealer does. Yes you can go anywhere for maintenance under warranty but then it is up to you to prove it was done and in most cases that's not an issue. You say private shops do a more thorough job but doesn't it really just come down to the person that happens to be working on your vehicle?

Understand when I say a private shop I don't mean a gas station on the corner with 1 or 2 people, I am talking about advanced state of the art operations that have been around for decades, you need to visit a few before you say they have no support.
I think you are correct it does come down to the person or person(s) that happens to be working on your vehicle and in my experience consistently what I get from dealer service is the people don't give a crap. I have been able to establish a good relation with multiple private shops over the years why cant that happen with just 1 just 1 dealership?? At private I pay a fair price I get my car fixed and I go home that's that what a nice concept why does a dealer experience always have to be a back an forth drama that makes your blood want to boil. why such a different work ethic between the two
