This thread is great! 5 pages so far and nothing has been resolved.

That's the best response to this I've heard.

Does a 4x4 Summit still have eco mode if you get the v6? Website implies that eco mode comes with 4x2 but not 4x4?

I know the Overland 4x4 I test drove had it and so will my Limited. Don't see why the Summit would be any different.

On the Hemi models, does turning off the Eco mode result in the deactivation of "Fuel Saver Technology" Lame name btw.

I can confirm that it does, and it is annoying. There's a noticably delayed throttle response on takeoff.

I disagree, because while both non-Eco and Sport Mode are better than Eco mode, they're both very different. non-Eco feels like how it "should" drive, while Sport Mode feels like how it "should" drive if you want it to be sporty. If that makes any sense.

Sport Mode is cool, but it lets the RPMs go way higher than non-Eco, so I'm sure mileage suffers more than just a bit. Although admittedly I haven't driven it in Sport Mode way long enough to find out. It's also louder, which is to be expected due to the higher RPMs.

Re: 2014 V6 Eco Mode - How to default to off?!?

I still think the Eco mode setting absolutely should be remembered after you re-start the car, but I will say that while initially I often forgot to turn it off, I've made a conscious effort to remember to include it in my "car startup procedure" in a single action so it becomes second nature: I press the start button, and as I'm pressing it I make eye contact with the Eco button, see the light on, and then immediately afterwards press the button to turn it off.

The idea is just to remember to make it the second thing you do in the process of starting your car, so then you always start doing it. I'm sure I'll still forget it every once in a while though...
