The incorrect (white stitched) arm rest isn't a problem only on the 15 HA's... it can also be found on the early build 16 HA's.

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

I took mine into the dealer yesterday to get the arm rest replaced as the dealer said they got the part in. The one that came in is indeed leather (or feels and looks different anyway), but it still had white stitching. Wasn't overly happy. After some discussion back and forth, the parts manager showed me the breakdown of the parts for a 2015 HA vs. the 2016 HA on the computer. The part number code that everyone is getting (i.e. the armrest with the black stitching) is a 2016 part number and not the 2015 part number or applicable to the 2015. As the part number/part code isn't applicable to the 2015 and what they got in was the correct part for a 2015, they were telling me there was not much they could do and I couldn't get the black stitching under a warranty claim. The one in the HA's originally was defiantly vinyl with white stitching. I discussed with them how everyone on the forums was getting their armrests replaced with black stitching (which makes sense since everything else black stitching) they said they would take some photos and submit to Chrysler and see what their response is as Chrysler has set a precedent already knowing it was a mistake and replaced others. On a better note I have a leather armrest now, I just need to get the black stitching. One step forward, two steps back...

Hey guys, when you replaced your chrome lug nuts with the black ones, how did you go about doing it? Did you have any issues with scratching or damaging the black ones?

He's Gianna try and order a different part so I get the black etching instead of white..I really don't mind the stiching but do mind the vynle...again I'm far from done but getting closer....

Sounds like the part number your dealer ordered was for a straight Overland, not the HA. I'm not aware of anything that changed that would prevent any stitched version of the arm rest from being interchangeable between the 14 and 16 MY's.

The very first 16 HA I looked at had the white stitched arm rest. My eyes were immediately drawn to that because it's so out of place with the rest of the interior. That particular 16 HA was swapped with another dealer to get mine. Same build month but mine had the black stitching. Your dealer is blowing smoke up your rear telling you what they did.

If the 15 or 16 HA features unique black stitching on the seats and wheel, why would anyone feel that it was acceptable to have white stitching on the arm rest, or that it would even leave the factory that way? It's ugly and sticks out like a sore thumb.

No issues here, they do not seem to scratch. When swapping them all out no reason to jack the car up, just do one lug at a time while it's on the ground in a star pattern as usual. Took 10 minutes to swap them all. I wouldn't worry about scratching the lug nuts, but you do have to be careful with the gloss black wheel. Those will scratch easily if you're not careful.

Try looking at this web site listing for the console arm rest. It clearly states fitment for 2014-2015 model years. This is the part my dealer got for me and it is perfect.

Thanks, that was the part number that was coming up in their system for the 2016 HA for the arm rest, but there was a totally different code/part number for a 2015 HA. He flipped back and forth between the 2 in their system showing me, so not sure why, but someone screwed up somewhere. It's not the end of the world but at this point it is a matter of principle

I agree that the arm rest is not that critical. But, you should get what you're entitled to and what some people are experiencing is a royal PITA. I hope your dealer does the right thing and you won't have to go back 15 times for it.

I suppose I got lucky. My service advisor wrote down the part number I provided and just ordered that part. No research needed.

Interesting finding from your dealer.

Can you post a picture of your white stitching with leather armrest?

What's the part number for the one they gave you?
