Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

I don't like Eco probably because I only do city driving most of the time which just slows me down with it's lack of responsiveness. Probably will be useful for my once a month cross-country driving but since I'm used to not pressing any button, I don't bother as well with Eco.

As for Sport, I guess that would be helpful for my city driving but I don't like it when you have to engage something everytime before you drive. I guess the presence of the Sport button on 2016 solves that and commits to memory the next time you start the car just like Eco? That would be great if I can retro fit that button.

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

I just hate the shifting of regular drive mode. It's not smooth most of the time and lacks power. I will go into regular mode or Eco when I'm cruising on the highway. Around town I have no use for anything but sport.

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

I suspect that even the '16 model with the Sport button on the dash will default to eco each time you start up. Just like stsrt/stop. I imagine it's all part of trying to meet the CAFE mileage requirements. I agree that Sport mode is more fun and I use it at times, but changing the shift points and maintaining the higher RPMs just makes shitty mileage even worse.

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

Yeah I highly doubt the 2016 would retain sport mode. The Eco button would probably retain memory just like the 2015, but there is no way they would allow sport mode to do the same.

It's a done deal. Feels amazing on the elbow. No longer that sticky feeling.

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

Yup, same P/N on my work order for non-CD console - 5PU02DX9AB. Wow, this is a $500.00 part. This has got to be leather. No wonder FCA is installing the vinyl white stitching.

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

Back to the Sport mode. I also realize this is dependent on the Engine fitment.

For example with my Diesel engine, my 420lb ft torque at 2,000rpm is brutal enough for my city driving needs. Will probably train myself to use the Eco mode on long drives.
