That does seem a bit low. Obviously you may be in mostly city like driving with lots of stop and go. If it's a lot of stop and go then there isn't much you can do as any car will suffer in those driving conditions

Oh I did forget to mention that another variable that did change is I recently put on OEM SRT wheels and tires. Usually you wouldn't think of a wheel change as being a variable, but they are MUCH heavier than the original wheels. The wheels were put on 300 miles ago. Could have that effected anything? Who knows.

That's what I figured. Even on the expressway it rarely goes above 21 mpg. If the PCM updatecontrols shifting, it might have other not yet disclosed improvements. I can only hope!

Re: 2015-2016 High Altitude Owners Thread

I have a 2016 v6 HA. Had it a month. Avg 18 town and have gotten between 24 and 25 on every road trip so far driving 75. Been really impressed with fuel economy so far. Only time I notice mileage slip a bit is if in very hilly terrain.

Non ethanol gets about 1 mpg or better than ethanol as well in my ha.

Yeah but non-ethanol fuel is pretty much non-existent in the civilized U.S. For me living in a large metropolitan area I would have to burn a tank of gas just to get to the nearest station that has non-ethanol fuel haha.

The last time I filled up with non ethanol pure gas was sometime in the 80s.

Yeah. I am old. I was going to say the 70s but I didn't want to be THAT old. As a hint, my first new car was a 71 Beetle. Before that, a few old MGs and 60s muscle.

Re: 2015-2016 High Altitude Owners Thread

I guess we are lucky we have a choice. I dont use ethanol unless there is absolutely no choice. Most stations around here even in our cities have both. I did not realize that is not the case in many places.

The choice for non-ethanol gasoline in my area is pretty much...zero...which honestly echoes most of the US, in my personal experience. There are pockets of providers, but when one does find it, it's often very high octane fuel intended for "non automobile" purposes.

Re: 2015-2016 High Altitude Owners Thread

I'm new here guys.
My14 says E85 in the fuel door and I have a gas station close with it. Is it better to use E85 or the 93 that Im using right now? Also can it be mix with 93?
