Re: 2015-2016 High Altitude Owners Thread

wait...I only see the Corsa twin tips for the Summit model. Single tips for HAs. Not sure how they would look with the wide opening on bumper. Pics anyone?

Thanks! Just concerned about the gap there would be if there is just a single tip exhaust.

Re: 2015-2016 High Altitude Owners Thread

Since the HA actually has Summit exhaust tips, I wonder why the listing shows it different. That's on the 2015. I think you should verify that with the vendor.

After reading a fair amount on here and knowing exhaust would be my first mod, I have decided to go with Corsa twin tips exhaust. 2 questions...

1. Does anyone have a picture of this exhaust on their HA right now?

2. Can you use the stock tips with this exhaust if you wanted to?

The stock tips are bolt on. You should have no problem reusing them with your new exhaust.

Stock right now... first mods are to get the grille, dark chromes, and window trims wrapped, still deciding if I want the roof wrapped also...

Re: 2015-2016 High Altitude Owners Thread

I got my arm rest replaced from my dealer in Auburn California. At first there was a problem but only because I didn't go to the right person, The Service Manager. Once I talked to him and they checked my VIN and realized the armrest should not have White/Silver stitching but Black. It looks 100% better. Also they said they had the fix for the shifter but only for gas models. The Diesel version will come out in August. I don't know why there's a difference.

Re: 2015-2016 High Altitude Owners Thread

Well, I am now very anxious!! I have an appointment on Monday to have my dealer do the Safety Recall S27 so I don't run over myself. Also BCM update 08-042-16 to improve the heated seats and PCM update 18-055-16 to improve shifting, misfires, etc. They will also try to correct the wheel well trim that has been somewhat separated since delivery. I just hope none of this trashes my beautiful Jeep. At least they are giving me a loaner since this will take mucho hours!

Re: 2015-2016 High Altitude Owners Thread

I had the safety recall done on the shifter on 2015 HA. All they do is a software update, there is no parts associated with the recall. Apparently all it does according to the service tech is engage the emergency brake if you dont make it into park. I havnt had a chance to test it out/play with it to see if it works as I have never had a problem putting my vehicle in park. They call it an "AutoPark". There is no extra bings or dings that I have noticed yet so nothing annoying I have noticed after the recall "repair". I did try to put it in neutral and open the door with the car running and nothing happened, so I'll need to do further tests to see what is does

I think you misunderstood them, there is no way the emergency brake can be electronically applied as the WK2 still uses a cable mechanism to the foot pedal. I think what you meant to say is that if a door is opened with the seatbelt unbuckled it automatically put the vehicle in park. His is what has been stated in other threads.

Re: 2015-2016 High Altitude Owners Thread

Yes.... It cannot apply the emergency brake. If certain conditions are met, i.e. In gear, seat belt buckled, speed below 1.2 mph, door opened, foot off brake it will automatically go into Park.
