You may have the only Grand Cherokee that auto folds or unfolds mirrors without pressing the power fold button. Are you sure (please don't be offended by this question)???

Very weird I thought it was a standard thing. I am in Canada so maybe for whatever reason that is different. But yes I fold my mirrors in via the button when I put it in the garage and when I reserve then throw it into drive as soon as I get going the mirrors automatically fold out

When I pick up my car from the service department, I'm going to ask for the "Canadian auto unfolding mirrors option".

Never tried this on mine. I just manually - push the button - fold them in/out.

They do not auto fold here in the U.S. His does it because its an export model.

Re: 2015-2016 High Altitude Owners Thread

Just to be clear, it does not auto fold. You have to press the button. But when you start driving, it auto unfolds as you reach a certain speed.

I am also in Canada, but I have not tried it. I have a feeling though this works in the US models as well to auto unfold only when you reach a certain speed same as the auto door locks.

Also while you are driving and you press the button to fold the mirrors, it's disabled. You have to be at a certain minimal speed to make it work again.

Nope. No auto unfold on US models. No matter what your speed...

Just tried it:
From an engine off and mirrors folded, I got the not the HA, started her up, accelerated to 40mph; nothing happened.

Re: 2015-2016 High Altitude Owners Thread

That's weird they change the programming with the two NA countries. What a waste of time.

How about trying to fold it as you're already on the highway?

Let me try later as I accelerate out of being parked after work if it auto unfolds.
