They are without a doubt different, atleast between the Summit I had and my '15 High Altitude. I have owned both cars and it doesn't take but 2 minutes driving down the road before you can tell they are different suspension setups. They drove very differently. FWIW my '14 Summit had all different numbers on the air suspension components than my '15High Altitude does.

Re: 2015-2016 High Altitude Owners Thread

Just to add to this, I can feel my suspension is definitely stiff but I don't know why my build sheet says "Normal Duty Suspension".

Can anyone run their VIN on the online site and see what theirs says?

Re: 2015-2016 High Altitude Owners Thread

My '15 HA is now at Jeep for the shifter and caliper recall, harsh 2-3 shift, auto high beams not working correctly, intermittent rear speaker pop after opening or closing a door, heated seat TSB, loose rear seat backs, and lastly the interior blower motor squeals in the winter time for about 20 sec after a cold start.

I'm assuming the speaker pop and blower squeal they won't be able to replicate since one only happens in the winter, and the other is so intermittent that it probably just won't happen. It's a small laundry list of items but I would rather have it all taken care of in one trip. Plus they got me in a new Renegade loaner for as long as I need.

Hope all goes well

Re: 2015-2016 High Altitude Owners Thread

Are you getting your loaner because you have a maxcare extended warranty or is your dealer just that nice?

My dealer hardly does rental cars. When I finally got one, I had to go to enterprise to get it. They didnt just give me a vehicle off their lot

I'm experiencing a couple of those issues on my 15 Altitude too. The back of my front passenger shakes pretty badly when going over bumps. I also get the aggressive shifting between 2-3 gear that you've been experiencing. Couple that with some interior panels that have completely misaligned in the cargo area.

Just curious, how'd you notice the rear seat backs were loose? Heavy horizontal shaking when going over bumps? Best of luck with all your repairs man! Keep us posted on the results. I'd love to hear if they were able to remedy the harsh shifting with a software flash.

The dealers in my area of NY only give loaners with the caveat that you bought the vehicle from them. Nevermind that you're potentially spending $$$$ with them :-/.

I hope they only make it better and don't screw up anything. Incidentally, I was offered a loaner without even asking for it. Of course, its a stripped down brand new Chrysler 200 that doesn't even have bluetooth. Man, I am missing my HA. But, at least they appear to be taking care of me. I'll report back after picking the car, either later today or tomorrow. Pray for me!
Do you have the TSB # for the PCM update that addresses harsh shifting?

good luck with the list, I have never had luck with lists at jeep dealers. if I went in with 7 items if they got 2 or 3 done that would be a good trip they come up with every excuse under the sun on why the rest weren't done. they seem to have ADD so i go in with 1 or 2 and they seem to focus better and get things done correctly. which equals more trips but as long as they deal out the maxcare rentals like they do i don't care.

Re: 2015-2016 High Altitude Owners Thread

Very tempted right now to buy but still trying to hold out for 2017.

I am seeing a bunch of 2016 HA for around 42-44k in my area advertised price, wonder how much lower I could get them. I am even seeing a bunch of new 2016 Summits for 42-45k, but they are all white and black it seems.

Really want a billet silver HA, or possibly a velvet red HA if the price was right. If the summit was available in billet silver and at the price range I am seeing for the white/black I would probably buy it immediately

What is this caliper recall? I haven't heard of that one yet. Is there a TSB number for that one? I am also scheduling a service visit with a list.
