Your dealer installed it for you. The accelerator goes over the top of the rubber. The brake is replaced. Your dealer should have given you the original rubber brake pedal when they replaced it I would think; but now that I think about it I didn't get mine. But I know for sure the brake rubber is replaced as I had these pedals installed on my 2012, unless something's changed.

Re: 2015-2016 High Altitude Owners Thread

That is correct, the gas pedal simply clips on as is, the brake pedal you must first remove the original rubber insert, then reinstall the new "bright" pedal. The brake pedal install is not an easy task and you will get pissed off in the process lol. The dealer will likely throw out the original rubber pad, I don't see why they would even give that back to you.
Some dealers install them during dealer prep, others just leave them in the box. Mine was left in the box and I did the install myself.

I will ditto that. I found mine in a box in the cargo area. You will curse the Jeep Gods, your knuckles may suffer, but they look soooo good when on. Also, if they get dingy looking, a damp rag is all you need to shine the up. The gas pedal is a snap. The brake pedal is a bit of a job.

Re: 2015-2016 High Altitude Owners Thread

It works. Not in park, foot off brake, seatbelt unbuckled and open door, rolls about 6" and automatically goes into park. Even if your door is not fully closed you cannot shift - I mean it shifts it just goes right back into park. Heated seats seem to be getting warm a lot faster too - hard to really tell, it's 90 today.

Re: 2015-2016 High Altitude Owners Thread

Hmmm...so checked my '15 HA armrest to get it replaced as it has the silver stitching and expected to see "vinyl" on the underside white label. To my surprise it said "leather"! I guess it always felt like leather to me but with the silver stitching thought would be vinyl. Anyone else have a leather armrest with the silver stitching?

Re: 2015-2016 High Altitude Owners Thread

Just noticed this paint chip today on my '16 HA that I picked up Monday evening. I'm pretty sure it was there the day of purchase. Now I gotta go back to the dealer and have them fix it.

That's unfortunate but hopefully the dealer will do what's necessary to resolve the issue.

Picked up a 2015 high altitude. Where are you finding this box. Can't see one anywhere and mine only has the rubber pedals

Re: 2015-2016 High Altitude Owners Thread

If you got a new 2015 HA, the sport pedal covers should have been installed or in a box in the cargo area, along with the rubber receiver cover, trailer plug in tails and cargo net. They are standard on the HA. If yours is previously owned, it's anybody's guess. Either way,, it couldn't hurt to ask the dealer to give them to you.
