You are correct Al - I purposely ordered the single tip. I want the retain the factory pieces, and the single tips are somewhat universal. After getting my original tips welded up, I had intended of selling the polished tips.

That pic of the quad tips does look sweet!

Re: 2015-2016 High Altitude Owners Thread

Hi all.

I have owned every Durango generation (and 2 of the most recent generation), but recently started thinking about replacing my '14 Citadel with a Jeep.

On Wednesday I traded my Citadel for a 2016 JGC HA 4WD in Granite.

Do any of you have a trim level badge on yours? Mine doesn't have anything, and I'm kind of missing it since my Citadel was prominently shown on the rear and sides of the Durango.

I was thinking about maybe buying an Overland badge since the HA IS an Overland with some extra stuff.

Have any idea where I can get the Overland badge? I'm not sure if the badge has changed much over the years, but I'd want to get the most recent one.

Overland badge has been omitted from the HA model (being not really an Overland and not really a Summit). I prefer it deleted entirely for a cleaner look. Others prefer to have all the badging and stuff. To each his own.

You can purchase the old Overland badge that was even painted black from factory I believe which was discussed somewhere among these pages.

Hey, curious to see how a fellow 2nd gen Durango owner feels about the JPC HA. I have a 2006 Durango 5.7 and have been wanting a GC for a couple years now but I am waiting for CarPlay to be implemented. The HA is the model I was looking at but that boat may have sailed since it doesn't look like they are coming out with them in 2017.

Did you get a v6? Come from a 5.7 Durango? Curious to here your thoughts on this if you did since those durangos had 5 speed transmissions and these 8 speed.

Thanks

I'm with you. It's supposed to look different and custom, which is why the badges were left off. I'm even considering removing the 4X4 badge on the lower left part of the tailgate to clean it up even more. Blacked out trim and monochromatic paint scheme does it for me, but then I was around in the 80's when we were doing the "European" look (anyone remember body colored double wiper assemblies?).

But, to each his own. That's why it's called personalization. Check out Amazon for replacement badges. Might even be able to order one through your dealer. Post pics once you have it installed!

Congratulations on the HA GC!!

I choose to believe I'm closer to a summit than an overland

Welcome to the club!!! Here, I believe, is a part number for the 'Overland' badge.

Re: 2015-2016 High Altitude Owners Thread

I got an Overland Badge for mine.

It's the type that was on the 2010 model. The 2011 to current Overland badge is more of a light grey/tan and chrome. The Overland badge I got is gloss black and chrome and more prominent and goes better on a High Altitude in my opinion.

Well, maybe I don't have a HA. The window sticker says Overland, but with the 23S package that can't be ordered on the Overland. What the heck? Did your window sticker also say Overland?

I'll have to search for the blacked out badge. Or maybe could buy a regular one and plasti-dip it.
