You might want to post a thread about that in the Audio/Visual/Navigation forum section up above.

Re: 2015-2016 High Altitude Owners Thread

I am sorry but I am at post 60 of this current thread I believe it we are at 160 now so I am sorry if I missed something.... I am waiting on my 2016 HA. It has 68 miles. Finding one in my area under 5000 miles has been a serious problem since all dealers have people that just need to drive this Jeep, Now it seems I cannot build this package next year I want to grab this one. I am waiting because this vehicle has a small rock chip in windshield that I need replaced. While I am waiting I am lining up the window tint. LONG STORY SHORT. I am very interested in the wrap of chrome around the driver, passenger and cargo windows. I absolutely loathe this. I has seen a post or two that this was done but not what the outcome was.... Would you mind if we revisit this please?

Re: 2015-2016 High Altitude Owners Thread

Another post SHOULD I BE CONCERNED about my replacement windshield? I mean I am concerned but should I be... New vehicle 68 miles small stone hit. Waiting on OEM windshield. I am told that factory does this great blue dye test to insure no leak... Clearly this will not happen

Re: 2015-2016 High Altitude Owners Thread

^^^about the windshield...yes be concerned. You. Red to make sure the correct windshield is used. Reason being is there are sensors for things like rain sensing wipers and auto high beams. Infact there is a thread right now regarding a guy who is having issues with a recently purchased used Jeep and it has some cheap aftermarket windshield on it and those features don't work. Go OEM!!

As far as the window trim wrap, I had mine wrapped and the results were excellent. It has no been wrapped for probably about 5 months and it's still perfect. I'm extremely happy with it and it only cost $200 to have done.

Re: 2015-2016 High Altitude Owners Thread

Maybe this was covered earlier in the thread - if so I apologize for redundancy - but does anyone have any insight as to why the HA is no longer an option in 2017? was it supposed to be a limited release?

Don't know, but they stopped making the Altitude when they started offering the High Altitude. And now for 2017 the Altitude (IV) is available and no more HA so maybe they don't want two blacked out trim levels to cut into sales of each other. I bought a 2015 HA and I just got a very long detailed survey asking several questions specifically about why I chose the High Altitude, did I go to the dealer because of the HA, how did I find out about the HA, and it asked me to check off things I like about the HA and rank them, including the black badges, black wheels, dark chrome accents, overall exterior styling, interior styling, adaptive cruise, 4x4, etc. So based on this survey I'm thinking they're doing marketing research to see if they should offer the High Altitude again and what if any details about it they might want to consider changing based on how people that purchased a High Altitude respond to the survey.

Re: 2015-2016 High Altitude Owners Thread

THANK YOU. I have gotten a little bit of well what I call, not the best, I want to sell you this vehicle. I looked at it on Saturday 10-15, noticed stone chip in windshield starting to flare out. Was told they would replace and would check on 'when" on Monday when they could check their stock. Wednesday 10-19 told windshield should arrive 10-20 or 10-21. On 10-21 I followed up looking for a status was told these OEM windshields take forever not sure where it is manager checking. Please don't ask what my reply was... Received an update late that day. Windshield on backorder not sure when they will receive but their is a tentative ship date of 10-28. I left a message with well that might impact October incentives and well is they are worse how will the dealership handle. I received a you get what you get when you buy the vehicle. I did not respond to this. Now I am at some sort of mercy because I am struggling to find this beauty with lower miles and the ones I find with some miles 4000-8000 the dealers are offering like 1000.00 off. So again no response from me at all business day Monday. I received an email 6pm Monday 10-24 Great news we have a windshield for you, we picked it up today..... LOL Where in heavens name did they find one if they are on National backorder and if they did why didn't they do this last week? I am trying to win the war here to get his vehicle vs the individual battles. There is NOT a chance they would repair this thing right? I am taking it to get the windows tinted in less than a week, they could tell me if it was repaired don't you think.....Thanks for all thoughts... Stressed about this Jeep but feel in the long run it will be worth it. Coming from a 2005 JGC Rocky Mountain Editon - nice package for its time, previous 1998 JGC Limited.

I hate to say this but this should be a good indication of what to expect if they have to handle any future repair issues you may have with it.

If you have not signed the paper work as of yet you could always do a ;we owe; from the dealer and have them list replace oem windshield. Good luck as it sounds like you really like this jeep.

Re: 2015-2016 High Altitude Owners Thread

Picked up the Jeep today. They found a windshield. States Mopar bottom right. My old Jeep stated Chrysler but, not sure if this matters. Love it so far except for the ESS...... keeps freaking me out.... Not sure if I am going to give it a chance and HATE the fog lights, they don't even match but now I know why I was reading everyone switching them out. Need to go back and figure out what to do. I am female and not well..... good at this, but I maybe I can find someone.
