Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

Just got back from Jeep dealer. They confirmed my seats are not getting warm like they should. They ordered new parts which will be in next week. Not sure what they are replacing, but I hope it fixes the problem.

LED Reverse Bulbs installed. Very easy to do.

Outside Bulbs are #7440; open lift gate, use flat head screwdriver or pick to remove middle portion of black plastic push pin, then use pry pick to remove the remaining bottom piece. There are 2 for each tail lamp. Then you can either pull straight back or use pry tool on tail lamp near body and it will wiggle loose.

Hatch Bulbs are #921. Use pry tool to remove plastic trim panel on rear of hatch. Start at one end and work your way around. You can do just the bottom portion to access lights but my hands are too big so I just removed the panel. Make sure all the green/tan push pins are still in the trim panel when removed. If they are in the body of the vehicle transfer them back to the panel. Replace the bulbs and then body trim panel just snaps back into place. Make sure you get all the push pins seated and the metal clips on the top portion of the trim panel lined up or you'll have rattles.

Tinman keep us posted on your seats and how dealer fixes them. I'm still having a hell of a time trying to get even a service appointment at a dealer to get the TSB done for the steering wheel. 2 online service requests and 4 phone calls and nothing. 1 dealer called me back stating they had a 3 week wait for service.

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

Hi guys need some help...just installed my Xenon Depot LED H11 fog lights and they do not work for some reason. When I turn on the vehicle, turn on the headlights with fog lights, the headlights and DRLs work normally BUT the new LED fog lights only flicker on/off about 3-4 times with couple seconds between flickers and then stay off. I have the version WITHOUT the CANbus as their website said most new vehicles should not need the CANbus option. Tried calling Xenon Depot today (Saturday) and is closed until Monday so thought I would ask on this thread to see if I could get a fix before then. Anyone have these in their 2015 HA? Do I need the CANbus or maybe resistors for function? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Let us know if it works and what they did, please. It'd be great if there's a fix for this.

I have mine going in next Tuesday for the same reason - luke warm at best.
They are also looking into the following:

*Massive clunks going over something as mellow as a speed bump in all off road modes. Sounds worse than a harley gear box dropping second.
*Securing wire harnesses in all 4 doors - the factory didn't and it is rattling
*"Hopefully" adjusting speedo for bigger tire size
*2 Paint defects
*And an update on a part that is supposedly on order yet they don't know when they can get it. It's the drivers side passenger door trim, adhesive is failing.
*Rough shift from 1st to 2nd
*1st free Oil Change @ 4k

2015 JGC HA Granite. Thanks for posting what they dealer told you!

Whats the 2 paint defects? They took pictures of mine last Friday and are still waiting on Chrysler to approve the fix.

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

A 3 week wait to get into the dealer seems normal. Every time I schedule an appt for mine they're at least a month out. Currently have one scheduled for 5 weeks out, the soonest they could get me in.

Two areas on the hood where dust/dirt got under the clear coat in the factory. Supposedly they sent it to Chrysler as well. Haven't heard anything...

Should be with Canbus. If they are flickering then shutting off most likely they are tripping the computer for low voltage. You can either get the bulbs with canbus or run resistors. I run resistors in my Focus ST HID conversion to fool the ECU and it works. Just keep in mind they get hot so stay away from plastic or wiring. The OPT7s I run are Canbus and work flawlessly in the HA fogs for reference.

I have a service appointment on the 18th for the steering wheel and I'm going to ask them about the heated seats. Confirmed today my rear seats get hot immediately but fronts are adequate at best.

Be careful. All vehicles will have a couple of spots with dirt in the factory paint. I had a Ford a few years ago I had the dealer fix. Horrable job. They sanded the spot down and the put touch up paint over it. It looked like crap. A good body shop can easily wet sand the spots out, but that's a good shop... so use caution in dealing with the dealer. My HA has 4 spots where dirt is in the paint and I'm going to leave them be. Most people will never see the spots unless they hand detail their car.

Yeah, I'm very aware of this. I want to see what they offer if nothing else.

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

I detailed mine after getting it and only noticed some minor imperfections in paint but luckily its inside the body panel gaps etc. Like mentioned be cautious with a dealer fix. They'll most likely wet sand the area and if its in the actual paint and not the clear they can create quite the mess.

You can see the LED's are a little bluer than the stock HID/DRL's
