Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

Fellow HA owners,

I am coming up on 300 miles in my HA and just noticed a click noise from around my passenger seat when I start the Jeep. Is this a normal click that I just noticed or did the techs do something to mine when they were checking my seat heaters?

As always thanks! !!

Shouldn't be any clicking. Mine is silent at 250 miles. The only clicking that comes from that general area when I start the vehicle is the relay click sound when the heated seat and steering wheel automatically turn on when I start it. Since it's very cold here and I have the auto comfort setting turned on the steering wheel and seat heater relay clicks on and it's loud enough to hear and it's from the passenger floor/footwell area.

I bet that's what the noise is but I never noticed it before. It's just one click like something clicking on, so I bet that is it. Thanks.

Replicating the noise is easy enough. Just try turning your heated steering wheel on and off. If that click is the noise you are describing then that's it.

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

Dealer called today and stated Chrysler approved my paint to be fixed. Dropping it off Saturday for paint and heated seats to be repaired. Dealer stated it would be a few days for repairs to be performed.

Please post what fix you receive for your heated seats. So frustrating to have a brand new vehicle without heated seats in the dead of winter.

My one and only complaint about my HA is that the seats don't really feel that warm. My old car I guess had coil heat so the leather got pretty warm. The back seats of the HA are more like my old car, and are very warm. I assumed because the front is just warm air blowing through the perforated seats, it wouldn't be as warm, but I feel next to nothing with it on high... so now I'm wondering if there is an issue.

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

Thatís an interesting thought. Maybe they removed the heating elements from the front seats and are using the seat ventilation to pull air from the heater into the seats(which appears to be ineffective).

Doubt it. My 2015 will practically burn my ass. Besides, I don't hear any fan on heat like I do with cooled.

Looks like you have an overland. This issue seems to be specific to the high altitude.

My 2015 F150 heats the seats this way and while it is not nearly as efficient, they still get materially warmer than my HA seats.

The HA is going in on Thursday to have the seats looked at per my post here. I will update that thread with the results.
