Will do. I am just hoping it will be fixed, and they are not just replacing parts for the sake of replacing parts...

With everyone taking these in though, Crysler (Jeep) will come up with a fix one way or another. There is an obvious issue with the HA's.

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

So you guys that are actually taking your HA in for heated seat issue, so is yours actually not working at all? Because mine works just fine, its just not as hot as my 2014 Summit was. I find it to be ample though and certainly wouldn't consider letting some mechanics put their hands all over my brand new car over it.

Might as well not be working. They produce a VERY slight amount of heat on high. And as has been stated earler, dealer has verified issue and ordered repair parts. I take mine in on Saturday to have the new parts installed and paint issues fixed. Will know when I get it back what the issue really is...

Not sure why you would be worried about the dealer touching your vehicle just because its new? I have never had an issue with the dealer making anything worse. They are required to repair anything covered under warranty and if they can't its a new vehicle...

I'm debating it since mine works but barely, I only have 1500 miles on the jeep and don't really want them tearing up my seats so I can have a little more heat, waiting to see the process/results from others that are taking theirs in to be repaired

If they tear your seats up they will replace them. The seats are not overly complicated. I am not worried in the least about them damaging my seats.

It's not your seats you need to worry about. It's every other part of your Jeep they may damage in the process and then claim it was previously existing when you point it out.

LOL. Remind me to not visit your dealer. My adviser and techs understand how picky I am with my vehicle and act accordingly.

Talking Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

I went in for multiple issues as previously stated. My tech is awesome and I trust this service department very much. My seats are lukewarm at best and they said that it is functioning within the limits set by Jeep. I agree with everyone here that they are the coldest heated seats I've tried in any vehicle. Very interested to hear how your replacement goes and how much it helps. Keep us posted!

On the VERY POSITIVE side of things, my tech re-calibrated the entire rig to match my new tires! The car shifts flawlessly now and the speedo/odo will be spot on. I didn't think this was possible on a JGC but they got it done with nothing but smiles! No mention of any future warranty issues. Hope this helps people who decide to go with a bit bigger tire - make sure to get it calibrated! Makes a WORLD of difference.

Your advisors will understand until it's time to pay up. Accidents happen at every dealer.

I asked my dealer not prep my Jeep before delivery because I don't want any dealer touching my car more than they need to.

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

Dealers and techs don't care about how picky someone is. Even if everything appears to be fine its the things you don't necessarily see that do happen ALL the time. Anytime an interior is taken apart it is just about guaranteed something wont go back together as good as it was from the factory. Clips break, fall off, don't get pushed in all the way, things get scratched, techs are usually dirty as shit. I think its great you have had good service and thats how it should be. Even for a legit problem I may have I cringe at the thought of techs messing with my car. I know sometimes its unavoidable, but like MOFSTEEL said its other things in the process that they will screw up. Also, how do you suppose your advisers and techs know how picky you are? You actually know every Jeep tech or if you don't your Jeep only gets worked on by one specific person that does know how you are about your Jeep? I'm confused by all that. When I do go to a dealer I don't know any of the advisers and certainly not the dozens of techs that work behind the scenes.

Let us know how it goes with the seats and if the issue gets fixed after all is said and done.

Which "is" an Overland with some different body parts. If your seat heater isn't getting toasty, something is amiss, IMHO.

And one of those changes is the seats or at least the seat covers.
