Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

Thanks Guys. I had been regretting not getting the advanced tech package on my overland since day 1. I had blind spot monitors on my previous vehicle, so it was annoying not having those anymore. Now I have those plus some. The adaptive cruise is awesome

Another observation on my HA, the Nav screen seems to have a yellowish tint to it. Did you guys notice that too coming from 2014s, or did I just get a yellow screen? I have seen the same issue on my iPhones. Some screens a very cool bluish white, and some have a more of a yellow, warm tint. I assume I'll get used to it sooner or later.

Also good news - my seat heaters seem to actually work unlike many who are having issues with theirs on their HAs.

Maybe a wood steering wheel once the sting of spending the money wears off. Getting spacers to push the wheels out a bit would help beef up the look.

Definitely do not have a screen with a yellow tint to it nor have I noticed that on any other screens or devices. Sure it's not time for a eye checkup? ;-) if the new HA screen has a yellow tint to it something is wrong. You can change the "theme" on the 2015 models, but that won't change a yellow tint. .

No yellow screen but the one difference I noticed between the 14 Summit and the 15 HA was that the 15 HA appears to have a better camera. Higher resolution and color accuracy which initially looked more yellow to me when I was backing up.

If you just left the range and still have on your yellow shooting glasses that might explain the color change to the screen. 😉

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

Lots of HAs hitting the roads now! I'm one of those that moved from a '14 to a '15 as well. I loved my Overland but the HA is so much better.

I'm a little over two months in and 1,400 miles and it's been sweet.

Interestingly enough though to this day I have only seen two other HAs in the wild and that's in the Chicago area with Jeep dealerships in every town. I think that's a good thing though so they remain kind of unique and not a dime a dozen kind of thing.

Haha...Funny. It's definitely got a yellow tint. I went from my 2014 to the 2015 in just a few hours and it's definitely yellow, high contrast, and washed out. I'll add a picture, but I don't think it does the issue justice.

As far as other devices having variation where some are yellowish, here is an example from some older iphones.

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

For everyone that's leaving their 2014 overlands for high altitudes. What in your opinion are the advantages of one over the other. These HAs are basically overlands so what are you really getting by leaving what you had? I get the newer model thing but what else?
