Im coming from a Summit, but for me it's the look!!!! I have always liked the standard Altitude look, but never wanted it because it's still based off the Laredo. Now the High Altitude is the answer for those of us that wanted that more aggressive/sporty look, but still keep all the higher end features. I also like how the HA is based more off the Summit exterior and not the Overland. I like the flares, exhaust tips, and bumper styling of the Summit much more. I also love the front park assist that I grew accustomed to on my Summit. The wood steering wheel, suede headliner, AFS headlights were nice, but things I was able to live without going from the Summit to HA. 469 miles into it and LOVE this thing!

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

I came from a 2015 black altitude. Right after I leased it the HA's came out so luckily my wife needed a new car and I gave her the altitude and I went and got the HA. It is a huge jump up from the attitude, in looks and features. I still like the altitude but when I park it next to the HA there is no comparison. For me it was the closest thing I could get to an SRT, looks wise, without the price tag that I can't afford at the moment.

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

For me it was a combination of things. I only had about 3 months of warranty left and my tires were almost to the wear bars. I didnít have the advanced tech package on my overland which I had regretted shortly after purchase. I had blind spot monitors on the vehicle before my 2014 overland, which I missed having. Having the blind spot monitors, active braking, adaptive cruise, front park sensors was another plus with HA. I also wanted the harmon kardon system which I got on my HA. For $13K to move into a new car with another 3 years of warranty seemed like a good deal + $3000 in extra features, new tires, brakes, etc. I must say I may be regretting it though. The steering wheel is off to the right, something I got fixed on my last car. Steering feel seems heavier, not quite as nimble as my 2014. Engine seems slower, but it only had 150 miles on it. HK sounds decent but doesnít seem like a night and day difference. My 8.4Ē screen seems yellow and washed out and the heated seats definitely arenít as hot. Miss my wood steering wheel, but I can probably resolve that sooner or later. Itís only been a couple days. Iíll need to break it in and see how it goes from there.

Understanding wife. Mine needs a new car this spring but in no way is she taking my car and allowing me to get another new car.

Damn hope that all gets straightened out at some point. The steering in my '15 feels extremely light and nimble and is perfectly centered, the screen is crystal clear, the HK is significantly better than the standard stereo (did you set your EQ?). My V6 feels mostly as quick as my 2014 Summit V8.
Speaking of steering wheels. I don't care either way if it's full leather or wood on top, but I was thinking, the Summit steering wheel might be a perfect match in the HA. Based off my memory it's the same high gloss and blackish/gray wood that's in the HA. Might look pretty slick in there if you want to swap them out. I have seen them on eBay for reasonable prices. Then get your wheel centered and aligned at the same time.

Yeah I'm not sure how I lucked out on that one other than the black altitude was a nice step up from what she was driving before. Plus I told her that I would listen to her more and be more understanding of her feelings, etc, etc, blah blah blah.

Hey joined a lil while ago before for a little more info and havent gotten the time to post. But here it is my "REAPER" lol... Mods soon to follow slowly after the bank account hit. Also looking into ceramic pro or Cquartz if anyone has some info would be great because keeping this thing clean in NY during the winter is a nightmare hahaha.

Looks good and welcome. Black looks sharp. Need to get rid of the chrome around the Windows I'm still working on mine. 3m wrap is not as easy as they make it look in the videos.

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

If someone or company could create the same curved in the bumper lights that the SRT has that would be great on the overland or the HA.
