Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

Seats in my December built HA get warm, not hot. Works good enough for me and certainly not a reason to take it into a dealer and risk someone screwing something else up in the process. My '14 Summit got warmer, but these are good enough, I don't need them hot. Now if they were any less warm then yeah I could see taking it in and having them apply whatever TSB was already mentioned.

Said there were no error codes but didn't say if needed resistors.
That was me. No resistors needed with the bulbs I posted. Pop out old, pop in new and enjoy.

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

if it's any consolation, i had to turn off my seat warmer in my '16 HA pretty quickly because it was plenty hot.

Have any of you gys noticed rust on your cv axles and driveshaft? Is this normal? It must have happened during transit. We haven't had snow here since I got it and it was never test driven before i got it. I never noticed this amount of rust on my Overland.

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

Was cleaning the undercarriage of my HA today and noticed what appears to be a drainage hose sticking down by my rear driver side tire. Anyone know what this hose is for? Also wondering if it should be sticking out like it is. Can any of you guys check yours to see if it's the same? I'm guessing moonroof drainage???

Its 100% normal. Every single car I have owned whether it be an American car or Japanese, there are certain components that will develop surface rust almost immediately. Very similar to how if you wash your car and dont drive right away your brake rotors will very quickly have surface rust. Its not an issue at all.

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

Blacked out the chrome window trim this weekend. Used Dupli Color shadow chrome kit and it came out perfect. The prep work took forever, around 5 hours and than another hour of painting. I did put down a couple of coats of duple color adhesive enhancer first, 5 coats of shadow chrome which turns gloss black after about the 3rd coat and than 3 coats of gloss, waited until next morning to pull all the masking tape off and done.
