I never heard of any changes to the Trivalent chrome on the '15-'16 High Altitudes. Should be the same.

Good point on the fancier interior package. I get in my wife's altitude with the basic sound system and I can't believe the difference.

I think he was talking about the interior pieces that were almost a gold or Bronze color in the 14 models that they changed over to the darker grey color in the 15 models. Thankfully because that rose gold color was ugly.

I wouldn't consider caliper covers. I am not a fan of the look and the money to buy would be better spent on other things IMO.

FWIW, you could buy G2 caliper paint and get a similar effect for much less. I am considering doing my calipers in black and punting the rotor hub black as well.

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

Got my trivalent chrome and window trim wrapped in matte grey yesterday. Also had the grille wrapped to try something different. I had them wrap the foglight bezels and taillight bezels in gloss black too.

I thought that the trivalent chrome pieces would grow on me, but I ended up disliking then even more. That, and the mismatched chrome window trim needed to go. Now it all matches. The grille turned out different than I expected, but I like it. Also had the windows tinted, but I'm going to have them redo the fronts darker, and then tint the windshield too.

In the 2016 models, the exterior trivalent chrome is supposed to be a more traditional black chrome

How much did that set you back if you don't mind me asking?

$500 for the vinyl. YMMV. I got quotes up to $700 for just the window and trivalent trim without the grille wrap.

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

Hi to all happy HA owners. I am crazy about mine, 2015, HA, Bright White. Fwiw, the interior trim is not different with the HK or any sound system upgrade.
Re: Caliper covers... Without spacers, will the black wheels clear them with no binding? Also, does anyone know of a good cleaner to keep the leather steering wheel feeling like new? After a time, they all seem to absorb body oils from hands and get that shiny look and feel. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

Regarding the stock vs HK upgrade:
At my age, after the damage to my hearing doing what we did growing up in the 60s, can't really appreciate the improved fidelity of upgrading the sound system. Who knew?!

Thanks! What do they quote as far as life expectancy on the material? If it is at least 5 years that would be well worth it vs 1 or 2.
