The ride doesn't seem so bad to me.
I plan on getting a set of Goliath wheels (either rep or OEM) and putting some 3 season higher performance tires on them and then using my OEM wheels with the fortera's as a winter only set

I'm not sure if we are still talking about the swirls or what, but it looked fine. Remember a camera will pick up things that you don't really see in person, then top it off with autoshow lights and anything could look crappy in pics. In person it looked nice, and that velvet color was amazing.

Yeah I don't really understand it. I am on my third WK2 with the Forteras and I guess I don't see what all the fuss is about. My Jeeps drive smooth, quiet, and handles fine in every condition I have been in here around Chicago. To me it makes no sense removing perfectly good tires, but then again what do I know. Maybe some people have money burning holes in their pockets lol. You will ALWAYS have people bitch and moan about factory installed tires. The same that will be happening with the new Bridgestone and Pirellis they now install on the WK2. Funny thing if you should see what other people have been saying about those tires on other forums. Same crap people say here about the Forters...yup you guessed it they think they're junk...although I had no issues whatsoever with the Bridgestones on our new Highlander, they worked fine.

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

^^^That would be cool to use all the OEM stuff, but man, gloss black wrap is sounding better and better lol. So the rear side windows require removing and replacing the entire window?? Is that right?

Supposedly on the same forum someone was able to remove the trim on the rear quarter glass with a heatgun and fishing line, however you'll still need to buy the entire window to get the black trim so you might as well change out the entire window at that point. With that said the total is around $450 NOT including the rear quarter glass which I suppose you could pay to get wrapped.

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

With about 5000 miles on them, the OEM Forteras seem fine to me. Handling is good, comfort is good. Wet traction is good. Sure, I will probably spend a bit more for the Dueler Alenza Plus when the time is right, but I can't see trashing these new tires before they are old and worn. Again...On my Infiniti, I replaced the OEM Dueler HP with The Alenza Plus, but not until about 40,000 miles. In the meantime, I'm going to enjoy the tires that came on my Jeep.

That's how almost every car and wagon I've encountered does it. Since those rear windows don't open, they're manufactured as one piece. Probably for easier installation at the factory and a better seal.

That's great info. I'm going to stick with getting everything wrapped in gloss black. Or may do it myself. I only have the front and rear chrome bumpers and fog lights to do so no sense in buying all of these parts at this point.

I got the McGard 64072 lug nuts and McGard 24216 locks. They look fabulous. As soon as a I can figure out how, I'll post pics.
