Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

I don't know, My 14 altitude was 41k, and I pay $350 a month and $1700down, all the prices here seem super high to me, then again I don't get my cars at a dealership ever, always use leasing companies

Take a look at the prices for the well equipped High Altitude 4x4. You will find it starts at just over $50k and goes up from there with the radio, etc. The Summit is even more. Combine that with no $ down and you can then see the difference when compared with yours.

How do you like the Mopar CAI? Notice any difference in power? More importantly, any LOSS of low end power after install? How's the sound? Sorry for all the questions but really considering putting one on my HA and the more info the better. Good mods!

The singular benefit to the CAI on the JGC is...sound. There's no real change in power/fuel economy since the OEM intake is somewhat efficient already. Lots of discussions on this in the Engine/performance area listed up above this general forum area.

I'm not comparing the "well equipped" HA to the altitude, I wouldn't dare...smh
All I'm saying is if I pay $350 a month for a 41k vehicle, I wouldn't pay $600 a month that is only 10k more.
Perfect example, my cousin just leased a 5series BMW with all the bells and whistles fully loaded...the msrp is 64k and he pays $600 a month with $1500 down, that makes sense to me, not all these prices u guys are saying...the HA should lease for no more than 500 a month

But you would. Because they are leading around $30 per thousand right now. So another 10 grand would be around $300 more +- per month.

You do know that lease payments are based on the predicted depreciation of the vehicle right ? The jeeps value takes a pretty big dive over the course of a lease while other vehicles like bmw don't as much, so your payments are going to be higher even for a vehicle with a lower MSRP because your paying for that depretiation. Also that $1500 he put down would have added $45 a payment or so, I never put money down because it's gone if you wreck the car, I'd rather have it rolled into the payments

No difference in power with same low end torque feeling.

However I installed mine for the sound it makes. Without the CAI the engine is fairly dormant, but ever since I installed it... Nothing but joyful sound from the engine

Another positive is the look the engine bay has. It gives it more credibility (hard to explain) apart from the bulky plastic intake.

The last benefit is that here in Cali the MOPAR CAI is CARB compliant.

No regrets good thing I only had the factory setup for one day.

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

Thanks for everyone's feedback - I pulled the trigger. I walked out of the dealer yesterday with a 2015 HA in black, with Hemi and HK stereo. 50 on the odometer and counting.. I ended up financing it because it seemed to make more sense with the rebates.

Thanks. Love it so far. Although now that I have it I can see why so many people are annoyed by the chrome around the windows. I already want to black it out

Also - that chrome break pedal, what a b*tch to try to put on.. I think I need to boil the rubber.

Yup, that is not fun at all. You have to make sure no one is around because you will be swearing.
