Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

Can you guys with the lowering links verify the exit/entry height - from ground to bottom of wheel opening?

I agree with @xosubuckeye! Dirty pics are allowed since your teasing us.

@blk14altitude with the links set at 5" front and 3.25" rear my measurements were 31" front and 32" rear.

Knowing it's only a 1/4 inch that equates to an inch drop have you guys thought about doing another 1/8th inch or so to drop a little further. What's the impact on the ride quality or them hitting bump stops.

I guess the better question everyone does 1 inch but is it for a specific reason. I'm doing mine tonight

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

petey', I'm installing my links this weekend, so my comment is "informed speculation" based on what the ride felt like when my compressor needed replaced...I think that just like things get uncomfortable in OR-II, much lower than 1" below "normal" is going to start encroaching on the same thing since you're suspension travel is reduced. It's certainly subjective, but it may be pushing things for most folks, depending on how they drive and the road conditions. At some point, it may also affect alignment, too.

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

Yeah I agree. The reason I went with the 1" all around is because it also more or less keeps the Jeep within spec....sort of anyway. My reasoning and argument for this is think about it this way. Most quadra-lift WK2s drive around mostly in normal ride height unless you do all highway driving which I don't do any. According to people on this forum the WK2 is aligned in aero ride height. If that is true, then these links allow the WK2 to drive closer to aligned spec more of the time. Hopefully that makes sense. Because the new normal ride height is like the original aero ride height. I'm sure you could go lower, but I personally like the current ride height and I see no negative effects whatsoever.

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

Okay here are a few. I did check my height is perfect - 31" front, 32" rear. Only concern of mine is a do a lot of freeway driving, unlike James, and hope I don't get premature tire wear.

Sweet mother of god. That looks awesome. So all of your trim is wrapped, is that correct?

All wrapped in gloss black. Except for the tail light surrounds and grille insert trim - I bought black ones from the dealer.

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

This for James and all you other LED fog lamp experts. I have a strange one. I bought the OPT-7 LED Fog Lamp Bulbs. They come with a driver/adapter to go between the led bulb assembly and factory connector. Driver side, no problem other than the slightly bluish tint to the light. Passenger side, LED flashes once, three seconds then flashes again, then three seconds, flashes again, then nothing. I thought it might be a defective led from OPT7 but it does this with the replacement, too. Any ideas????

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

Anyone know if there is a lip for the high altitude bumper that fits (similar to the one I see on the SRT8?
