That should be in a few weeks. Guy is trying to get me to tint the whole front windshield too - 50%.

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

Just noticed the passenger side weather stripping under the front of my hood is missing. Anyone else missing this?

Another trip to the dealer it is I guess. Which means two trips as I'm sure they will have to order the part... Maybe Jeep needs to slow down a bit on popping so many vehicles out and focus a bit more on QC.

It's normal. Only on the drivers side because of the airbox.
Maybe you need to slow down with your assumptions before jumping to conclusions?

Why does the hood have the holes for it then? And what keeps the elements from getting in? Thanks for the info though.

Hi, excited new owner here. For those who vinyl wrapped their door moldings to cover up that mismatching chrome, how many square feet of vinyl wrap did you buy? Thanks

Passenger side, LED flashes once, three seconds then flashes again, then three seconds, flashes again, then nothing. I thought it might be a defective led from OPT7 but it does this with the replacement, too. Any ideas????

Just connect the led bulb to the driver, and the driver to capacitor and then to OEM plug.

The long ones are the polarity adapters. I didn't connect those. I have no flickering. ImageUploadedByJeepGarage1457761540.978713.jpg

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

Not able to report good news.

Made my lowering links tonight and installed them

Immediately knew something was up because it was not allowing the vehicle to lower from jack mode.

I drove for a couple hundred feet and put it into sport mode and it lowered itself. But it wasn't happy. Soon after I got a message "service air suspension immediately".

Got out and looked and it was almost tucked on the drivers side rear. Passenger side rear was almost normal height

I literally had to jack the jeep up to access my links to which I swapped them back to stock. Even after its sitting low in the rear and high in the front.

No damage to the plastic level sensors they rotate freely

I can attest to this though, when I made the links they are solid, the ball sockets are tight. Nothing budges except the ball that sits inside. Did I have them too tight ? Should they have been free to roam to allow the sensor to adjust accordingly.

Here is a photo.

Yes I know they are not correct in the photo, I rotated one ball socket on each one till the fronts were facing and the rears were opposites.

How else would I have been able to install them.

Final question,

Should I disconnect the battery for a few minutes and see if it resets the system or does this HAVE to go to the dealer?

Thanks

I think yours is the first HA with a complete chrome delete and it looks insanely awesome, I am really hoping the tint guy I am planning on using does vinyl work! As far as the drop, I agree with James, dropping a minimal doesn't seem to effect our ride quality and shouldn't throw anything else out of spec nor should we worry too much about tire wear.

Welcome, congrats on your purchase! I know alot of us want or have had it done. Most I believe have used shops due to the complexity of the moudlings curves. I do however know you need to run full sheets the length of the moudlings for it to look right. I'd just measure length top and bottom. Good luck and keep us posted if you do it on your own.

I guess the better question everyone does 1 inch but is it for a specific reason. I'm doing mine tonight

On a better note, if you look at our front bumpers compared to an SRT they look similar so there is a chance a lip would work. I've wondered this my self but I am not fond of any of the lips available currently but it is a good idea. I would say order one, don't mount it just dry fit with painters tape and if it doesn't line up send it back.

As for your lowering links, I ran into a few un mentioned problems but they all fixed them selvees. So as we know our Jeeps are new, they have so much electrical components its not funny. So while installing I took my rear links off at one point to readjust them, well I had just turned it off maybe a minute ago and the jeep raised as high as it could go in the rear since no link was installed. I immediately finished my adjustments, reinstalled the links and turned the Jeep back on and cycles through all the modes. Everything seemed normal no messages. I turned it back off and the front completely aired out. So I turned it back on it brought itself back up and everything was fine. I think the sensors in these things are extremely sensitive especially working on them right after turning the vehicle off. Obviously there is still electronic components working in memory at that time obviously the air ride is part of that.

I would install the factory links, cycle the suspension modes, check for the message if everything is ok proceed to install the lowering links. If not try a battery reset. I also wonder if installing them in jack mode had anything to do with it? Maybe someone else can comment. I was able to slide in and out comfortably in Offroad 1 as well as Normal height. Keep us posted.
