Top is the reflection and bottom is covering the vent with my coat. So what I meant was the window. You're right though tinting may solve that.

Took her for a test drive. Exploring a trade in option with my 15 Limited. Crunching some numbers and seeing if it'll be worthwhile

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

Has anyone put SRT8 Reps on the HA yet? Playing catch up on this thread and 77 pages is a lot to rake throguh. Might be trading that Limited for the HA today or tomorrow and debating if I want to keep my 20x9 SRT8 gloss black Reps and have the dealer swap them, if I pull the trigger.

Negotiating a bit still with the dealer

Yeeaaahhhh do it!! As far as the SRT reps, unless they were the 20x10s I would just leave the originals on as I think the originals look better than a 20x8 SRT rep. Now an OEM 20x10 Goliath or spider monkey in black chrome or gloss black would look great on a HA.
If you do go with the reps and plan on selling originals PM me about them

I agree. The only thing I would switch out the the oem wheels for after doing the lowering links and spacers are if I save up some cash for 22" srt reps. Maybe some day but I'm happy with the look now.

Make it happen. You won't regret it. Also the 77 pages will be the best reading you've done in years. It might even give you that extra push to get the deal done

As a new High Altitude owner and first time ever in a Jeep, I just stumbled on this forum. It helped me squeeze years of Jeeping knowledge into a very short time. Lots of members here are extremely good at sharing their tips with us. You will gain much from this thread and many of the others. Good luck with deciding on the HA. I do believe it is the nicest all around Jeep out there. The lack of chrome, black wheels, loaded tech, air suspension, good cargo space are what pushed me over the edge.

^this

I've had my Jeep for about 2 months now. Finally embarking on its first real excursion. We're headed to Death Valley to camp for a week and see what kind of trouble we can get into.

Just installed the Husky mud flaps too.

Making our way south....

Digging through another thread on the SRT boards I found this. I think this looks sick. Would love to copy it

Yeah that's pretty sweet looking no doubt. Are those gunmetal 22" reps. Kind of a different look than the black. Looks sick as the kids say.

They have them on eBay that color for like $999.99. But most are staggered. I would want all 10" around if possible.

I honestly would buy them and have them powder coated before I even put them on. I like picking my own shades

2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

So I initially bought a '15 Limited new after going back and forth between and Altitude and Limited. Loved the blacked out look of the Altitude, but it didn't have a few things I wanted ($40k for a car with no passenger electric seat?! /boggle). Anyway, got the limited and began blacking it out to look like an Overland/Altitude. Which became a fun but rather pricy project.

I had a few other mods I was eying up that we're getting up there in price (door handles/ color painted trim). Fast forward and I started to look at the HA a bit more - wasn't sold on it at its big reveal initially.

The lady was out of town yesterday so I popped into the dealer to see one up close and get a ball park in trade in value. Told the guy I was just "looking" but wanted a white V6 with tow package and 4x4 (which is not very common at all in Texas - the sales guy called 4x4s unicorns). Low and behold the only HA on the lot is that exact car I described. They had sold the other inventory a few days prior and had gotten this one in a day ago. Had also called 4-5 dealers and their are not many HAs in the Dallas area. 1 dealer even told me he didn't know what a HA was...

We went back and forth a bit and they gave me a very fair trade in value - actually slightly higher than my own rough guess and KBB/carmax appraisals. Left after they wouldn't come down off the MSRP a bit and told them to call when they wanted to shave some off. 4 hours later they called and I drove over to drop off the down payment. It was near closing time and I had prior plans for the evening, so I'm going to finish the paperwork Monday and take her home! Made sure they stuck the "sold" sign inside it before I left haha.

Car payments went up a bit, but for extra features it has, and the fact I don't need to spend anymore $$$ modding it to look like a different model, it was worth it to me. I may add some minor things like window trim wrap down the road but no major plans. Pretty pumped.

Just have 36 hours to decide if I want to have them swap those 20x9 srt reps I have (which are currently on the trade in car). The stock is 20x8 so these give it slightly wider stance (around what the borla spacers would look like).

Anyone good with photoshop?! >_<
