Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

Has anyone heard of or installed JW Speaker LED fog lights? I spoke with my dealer and if I wanted to swap out the fog lights they would go with those ones. I know alot of people have installed the SRT fog lights with great success, just curious what the difference would be if any.

Thanks.

There are threads about this in the Interior/Exterior/Appearance area up above.

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

May be a dumb question, but does anyone know the towing capacity for 2015 5.7L HA? I have the towing package as well. I looked on the jeep website and it said 7400lbs but then "built the vehicle" online and the tow package says 6800lbs.

I am moving across the country and am going to tow a uhaul trailer from Denver to Michigan(6x12, 4400lbs). I've never bought a hitch ball before so looking for guidance there. Has anyone purchase a ball hitch and mount for their HA?

I have not towed anything on the HEMI yet but this is what the manual says

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

The towing capacity with Factory Tow for the Hemi-equipped 4x4 JGC is 7200 lbs. The 2WD version is 7400 lbs. EcoDiesel is the same. Please note that loads above 3500 lbs require a Weight Distribution Hitch (WDH) per the manual regardless of suspension type. (spring or QL) Unfortunately, you can't use WDH with many UHaul type trailers because they have surge brakes. You will have to be very careful with how your trailer is loaded and balanced.

You will likely need a drop ball mount of approximately 4" for the "average" trailer in my experience. The actual drop varies with individual trailers, but that should be about right for a U-Haul with an approximate ball height of 18"-19" to be level.

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

Thanks for the info guys. You think I should just purchase the ball hitch and coupler thru Uhaul? Or look online at other auto retailers?

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

U-Haul certainly sells those things and they (usually) have a decent rep for towing accommodations. The one advantage of having them help you is that the proper drop can be fitted to the actual trailer you'll be hauling. The downside is that you may pay more for what you get. You should also check in advance if the location you're sourcing your trailer rental from actually carries these things. If it's one of the "real" U-Haul full service locations, you should be good, but if it's a "dealer", you may need to deal with this in advance through other sources. I use a very heavy drop hitch acquired from NorthernTool.

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

I'm looking for some PSI recommendations for the Fortera's (warmer months). I just noticed my front left is 44, front right is 40, rear left is 43, rear right is 41. It seems to be over the map
