Even though I have a HA and I love it, I do in a sense agree with you. Its like they said take parts from each model, make some of them black chrome, and lets call it the High Altitude
As far as the seats, there is no way they are Limited seats though as those use different leather and have the "wavy" or "wrinkled" leather look in the center sections. Everything seems great except for this center console issue and I'm hoping its just a simple fix at the dealer. I'll keep my fingers crossed. If not, its not the end of the world and I certainly wont be making a stink about it at the dealer, worst case I'll simply buy one.

HA seats have edge piping.
Limited seats even with Lux II do not.

Ah gotcha. Like I said - I almost bought one myself, so not knocking it

Still curious if it will carry over to 17, but I'm thinking it won't since they want to steer people towards the TH and updated Summit instead.

Even though I would like to see the HA continue, if it doesn't it would be sort of cool in the sense that it wont be your typical dime a dozen Grand Cherokee that you see everyday. To this day here in the Chicago area I have still only seen a couple on the street driving.

I'm not sure what that number is, but its not the part number. I believe the correct part number for the actual leather console for the HA is: 5PN68DX9AB which is also the same for the Summit with black interior.

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

A couple pics of my HA from this morning. I'm thinking I might take the grey off the grille. BORA spacers going on tomorrow if I get a chance.

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

The build list FCA emailed me lists :
XDAP Leather Wrapped I/P & Center Armrest
I asked what can be done and they responded...

Dear Michael,

Thank you for contacting the Jeep Customer Assistance Center in regards
to the center armrest.

We regret to learn of your concerns, particularly in view of the
inconvenience involved, are understandable and I appreciate the time and
effort you took to bring this matter to our attention.

However, given the many variables involved, we are unable to look up
your vehicle's currently equipped armrest via email, even though it is
listed on the build sheet as 'Leather Wrapped I/P and Center Armrest'.

So, we would request you to take the vehicle to your dealership for
inspection of the armrest. After inspection / diagnosis, if they feel
this has to be referred to Chrysler, then they would take the pictures
and send to the Digital Imaging team for further follow up and
resolution or they can discuss any other options you may have.

We feel this referral action will provide the best resource for your
request.

If the vehicle is at the dealership and the issues remain unresolved,
please respond using your method of choice, either by phone:
1-877-426-5337 or by using the link provided below to advise us of this
information. We will be more than happy to further review your situation
at that time and shall provide the needed assistance.

Appreciate your patience and thank you again for writing to us.

Sincerely,

Irfan

My 2015 Grand Cherokee Overland High Altitude was delivered with an
incorrect Center Armrest. While the Equipment Listing shows Black
Stitching
and Leather Wrapped Center Armrest, mine has vinyl and contrasting
stitching. What can be done to correct this

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

Update on Console Center Armrest: Sales Code XDAP.
Brought all paperwork to my dealer today, including response from FCA Customer Assistance. Service advisor agreed that it doesn't seem right with vinyl and contrasting stitching. He took pics, forwarded them somewhere and insisted that regardless of corporate decision, it will be replaced with the correct leather one. I'll wait a couple of days for his update before I draw any conclusions.

That's exactly what happened with me as well. I stopped by the dealer and he took all the necessary pictures and will be submitting a warranty claim. He also stated that it's definitely not the correct console. So even though he didn't actually tell me one way or another it's getting replaced, atleast they agree with what we are saying. He said expect to hear from him next week. I'll update when I hear something.

You'll have to go to a dealership to get this taken care of.

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

This is becoming a real PITA, but also a matter of principal. I'm actually kind of looking forward to seeing if I can get them to do the right thing. Wow, James. Look what you've started.
