I would rather repair this myself and not take a chance of the dealer making it worse. Does anyone have any ideas how to do this without removing the existing piece?

Both the wheel flare and the door flare are secured by a strip of double sided adhesive and a few clips.

Nope no entertainment package, I got the HK sound system and was strange I found it between the rear passenger seat and cargo area under the flap. So I know it wasn't something that could have fallen out since I have never put my rear seats down before today.

2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

I went to my dealer after work today, the dealer I bought from. They're about a 40 minute drive, well 30 for me. They brought down a High Altitude off the lot, same brilliant black and all the guys like my blacked out version better. Anyway, the one from their lot, a 2016, had nice smooth obvious leather with black stitching. They asked if I had my window sticker and I did, and I showed where it shows Leather Center Armrest at the lower left, and Black Accent Stitching on the right side of the Window Sticker. I also had my build sheet as did they and it confirmed what was on the Window Sticker. My salesman said he was surprised I caught that. I said I thought the silver/gray stitching was odd before I even bought it; and explained my parents Limited has a vinyl middle console had the same feel to it as mine. And I mentioned my friend James in Chicago with a 2015 High Altitude noticed this and took his apart and found a label with the word Vinyl on it, and his dealer ordered a new black stitched leather one for him; and I mentioned some guys on the Jeepgarage forum had silver stitched vinyl, and some with a 2016 had black stitched leather. The service guy took several pictures of the exterior and interior of my Jeep, the center armrest, and the window sticker, and sent that all to Chrysler, and said they'd call me when Chrysler respond and then if it's approved they'd get the part and schedule a time for me to bring it in for replacement.

Kind of looks like the microphone my home stereo receiver came with to calibrate the equalizer to my speakers and the room.

Exactly what I was thinking, but since I don't have the HK sound system I thought it was to attach the same way as the home stereo.

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

Thanks for the answers, just gonna drive me nuts. All i could think is maybe its for the entertainment package, but put in my jeep by mistake??? cause it really looks like a remote sensor, but not having the ent. package i dont know what would or should have been included.

Re: 2015 High Altitude Owners Thread

Finally got the time and weather to paint the calipers with the red G2 paint. I taped off everything with painters tape which worked really well. I didn't peel it off until the next day as I wanted it to set - Kinda wish I peeled it off earlier though. Found a few spots this morning that I did not completely get because they were hidden or accidentally taped over - by that point the left over paint was dried up.

Nothing major at all and in all honesty you'd have to get on your hands and knees to go looking specifically for it (probably have to take the wheel off too) but just knowing I missed some small spots will bug me. May look into buying a can of red engine paint and just touch up the tiny spots, if I can get a match. A spray can is $9 - don't know if I want to spent $40 for the G2 paint to just touch up some little hidden micro spots. I also used a razor blade to shave off any red spots that got on the break pads, which worked great.

Pics below: Overall, I'd give myself the grade of a B on the whole paint job. Need to give her a bath this week, she's pretty dirty.

Also installed Black Gorilla lugs 96643BDX x20. These are not locking and fit perfectly into the stock HA wheels. Overall, very happy with the look! Now just to get the trim in gloss black and I think I'll be set... for now

On a side note, a 13" jack will NOT get the car up high enough to remove the wheels - found this out the hard way. Had to toss some wood on top of it to get ~3-4 more inches to clear the wheel (the stock jack for spare tire is just a nightmare to use).
