The Jeep site is not helpful - it does not allow one to add several of the options I have known we wanted, like the Uconnect 8.4 Nav to the vehicle as a stand alone item, and does not list a power sunroof as an option. It only has the larger packages.

That is why I was surprised to see this RC3 9 speaker option listed on the Edmunds site. Milous' site does not list it, though his site has not been updated since last November, making me think this may be something new???

Was trying to get some info before contacting dealers; proverbial ducks lined up...

Re: 2015 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Price Increase? Was there a price increase during March? I have a Preview Configuration from the beginning of the month and just received another one from a different dealer and the prices listed for the base vehicle and a couple but not all of the options has changed. Not a huge amount but noticeable.

Does Jeep "corporate" put through small increases during a MY - seems sort of nickel and diming but if they have the demand guess they can do what they want....

The 9 amplified speakers [RC3] can be ordered as a stand alone option separate from the Luxury Group. MSRP is $495 and the Invoice is $441.

To be honest I do not know of a manufacturer who doesn't tweak pricing throughout model year.

Verify calendar 2015 build

Howdy - I had a dealer (Brisbane, Aus) quote on an in-stock MY15 compliance plate, calendar 2015-build JGC today.

Interesting thing was that the other two dealers that also quoted this morning denied knowing of any 2015/2015 JGCs on hand/"at-the-port" for Brisbane. i.e. they have a variety of MY15 compliance, 2014-build JGCs in stock but no 2015/2015's.

Nevertheless I do have in my hand an actual quote on letterhead for an in-stock 15/15 JGC - and at the old (I think they said pre-1 April) pricing. There's considerable daylight between the in-stock quote and the to-be-ordered quotes I received from each of the three dealerships (i.e. at the new pricing).

So...what do I need to know to be able to verify that the vehicle is in fact a calendar 2015 build and how do I do so?

Cheers,
JD

There is a sticker on the door that will show the actual build date, see my one below.
There are two dates, Date of MFR: 9-13 (Sept 2013) , in the upper right is MDH: 091306.
So this was finished Friday 13th September 6:00am.

Heya,

There are a few options for you. The below from SNUKE is cool if you can see the vehicle or get the dealer to send you a photo. The other way could be to get your dealer to give you the VIN of your chosen vehicle then up your membership level here to be able to get Milous to check it for you.

I put a deposit down on a 2015 built SRT and have been following the ship online (turned out a friends car was also on the same ship and we could track the VIN). If you get the VIN you could go for pot luck and enter the VIN on this site and it might pop up if it's on the same ship. https://www.2wglobal.com/webapps?url...uickSearchPage - Enter the VIN in the Cargo ID box and cross your fingers.

The ship just left Port Kembla yesterday, heading for Brisbane and there might be some 2015 built GC jeeps on there...I could be wrong though

Good luck with your car.

Cheers

If anyone knows the invoice for this as well, that would be greatly appreciated.

Am close to ordering a '15 JGC and am hoping this is accurate. The rumored Harmon Kardon option at $2k is not something I want to spring for... Thanks.
It most certainly was / is ( I don't know if you ordered already ) I ordered mine on the day this post was made 3-24-15, I took delivery 4-30 -15..
That was the second thing I ordered ( after the Hemi ) lol

Thanks. Found out the same thing, ordered it and took delivery on May 9. Also got the Hemi - have just over 300 mi so far and love it, though driving < 55 mph was very difficult...
