I thought I did hint at my doubt of the dealer in my post above. I have no reason to doubt you over a car salesman. At the dealer today I kept thinking it must be the last day of the month or something. And this is by far the best dealer close to us.

On the ACC w/stop, I thought we said earlier in this thread that it won't be in the 2015 (and I assumed that meant not already in 2014). Searching more now, it appears it was added after initial MY14 launch but that was later last year according to this thread. http://www.jeepgarage.org/f156/crowd...-acc-66436.htm

I went through all the specs and the GC Build Your Own site page the past few weeks and I thought I saw no mention of ACC w/stop. I guess none of this really matters since not much changes for 2015.

If we do finally decide to go with the GC, I will test drive a 2015 with my hands off the wheel to see if Lane Departure has also been added quietly.
A dealership job would be the last thing I would want lol.

ACC/Stop was introduced as a running change 1/3rd the way into the 2014 model year (On vehicles built starting July 23, 2013). It will be carried over to the 2015 model year for models that it was offered on in 2014. At some point it should makes its way to the SRT.

I have not seen any mention of the Lane Departure feature for the 2015 WK model year, at least not for initial launch.

Yes that is what I thought when I first read what the salesman said…as you mention what is here is from insiders.

Hello, this is Joe Smith, I came in last week and test drove a 2014. I just wanted to thank you for your time. Since you told me I would not be able to order a 2015 model for several months, and would not get it until the end of the year, I ended up ordering a 2015 model today from another dealer, for August delivery. When you get a chance you should check out JeepGarage.org, they have the latest and most accurate information available on upcoming Jeep models.
I got a few good chuckles out of this suggestion, Milous….thanks, I needed them.
and I am following this thread, and others, to finally decide on a Limited or Overland….as I saw one review that said overland road better than the Limited and below…..
Does anybody care to add thoughts on that?

At any rate thanks for all the good stff around this forum, everybody.
cheers and have a great day…a good cruising day it's looking like.

Re: 2015 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

May sound like a stupid question, but, what is ACC w/stop?

Milous, do you know by any chance if the DEF-injector issue on the Diesel will be fixed on the MY15?

Thanks!

Please explain as I've been very much on the fence between purchasing a trail rated off road package gas saving diesel Overland with amazing sports car like torque vs a gas guzzling always fun to drive Rubicon X Unlimited.

Take a look at these threads for the problems people have had with the DEF injector.

Service DEF - See Dealer

Vulnerable DEF injector wiring!

Looks like that just helped our tiebreaker lean more towards purchasing our 2015 Rubicon X Unlimited . Thank you for the links, the skid plate looks to hopefully solve the issue, but I couldn't agree more with another's post suggesting that Jeep address this potentially very dangerous issue once and for all especially in a more costly off road package that's supposed to include all the important underbody skid protection.
