Re: 2015 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I'm very interested in seeing real pictures of the 2015 JGC Summit with the Platinum Series Group/California Appearance Package and the Argentina interior. The excess of chrome (in my opinion) is the main reason I bought the Overland over the Summit. I also loved the Saddle interior on the 2011-2013 models, and the Argentina interior sounds very similar.

Also, is all of this information correct?:

B. PLATINUM SERIES GROUP (AVP) ("California appearance package") (MSRP $995 / INV. $ 886)
Body Color Door Handles (MNK)
Body Color Exterior Mirrors (LEP)
Platinum Badge (MJC)
Platinum Strip Tail Lamp (LBY)
Gloss Blk Grille-Platinum Chrome (MAD)
Body Color/Platinum Front Fascia (MLE)
Body Color/Platinum Rear Fascia (ML7)
Body Color Sills w/Platinum (MRH)
20X8.0 Satin Carbon Wheels (WPZ)

If so, is the rendering accurate?

I'm ready to pull the trigger on a 2015 Summit 4x4 diesel. Just don't know if I should get the platinum group and the Sienna leather....

Re: 2015 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

For me, the Sienna leather wouldn't be optional at all--it's virtually identical to my current saddle interior, based on the rendering Milous posted in the first post of this thread, albeit maybe with a different shade of leather. So I'd be a "yes" for the leather. The platinum group...I could live without simply because I don't mind the chrome, personally. I wouldn't pay nearly a grand to get rid of the chrome. But I know it's something that many folks don't prefer.

They got pretty close to the Houston and DC pricing and above KBB excellent trade-in price. Baxter in Omaha. Salesman Eric - really good salesman and great guy.
I retract my endorsement of Eric and of Baxter. Order was not placed on June 6th. And today, they say it was ordered today (June 9th), but he can't produce a VON and says the guy that orders went home for the day. They didn't have any problem keeping my parents Jeep leaving them without a ride either. I drove the home (50 miles away). What a joke. Have to wait and see if he can make up for it...

Re: 2015 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I've been to the dealer multiple times to order my new Jeep... Just can't find out accurate info on some things.

For the Summit with DSB interior, I want to know for sure whether or not the trim pieces inside are silver/chrome, or champagne/gold. I hate the champagne and that would kill the Summit for me. I also wan't to know whether the dash is DSB or Black, and whether or not the seats have contrast piping or not. I know the photo shows these things, but the photo of the exterior is not as described by the platinum group, so I question the accuracy of the interior photo.

Also considering the Overland with the Vesuvio Indigo interior (I like this interior best). However, the ordering system is not letting us select QDII with the diesel motor. Myself and the dealer both don't know whether it is standard with Diesel, or unavailable with diesel.

Thinking of trying and calling Jeep to get definitive answers to all of this, so I can finally give them my money! lol

Also wondering that "satin carbon" wheels will look like. The photo posted on page one represents the wheels currently offered on 2014 Summit's.

Re: 2015 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I have questions about the Summit Platinum package grille. Is this grille like the Altitude grille? Are the rings platinum-chrome or gloss black? Is the honeycomb inner mesh platinum-chrome or gloss black? Is the actual grille itself body color or gloss black like the SRT?

I believe QDII is standard with overland diesel. Not 100%

I'm thinking this also... Not 100% either. The ordering system lists "Quadra Track" and not "Quadra Drive"

You're not alone...

The main reason I'd be ordering the Platinum Group is the fact that the lower body panels on the Summit will finally match the rest. I never liked the gray panels - well - except on a gray Summit.

The wheels will be interesting, too, since we don't know yet if they will simply have a different color or a completely different design.

Also wondering if the Argentina interior will be something special and not only a different color - considering it's a $500-option.

But I like the capabilities of the Overland with ORAII over the Summit.
this is not required in Europe. Not on a vehicle you've owned in the US, only vehicles purchased within the EU. I've done this several times, (2 Jeep GC), and it has not been an issue, as long as you conform with the ownership time which is usually 6 months to a year outside of EU for personal use.

What do you mean when you say the lower body panels don't match the rest? Is the body two tone?
