Dang, I've heard so many places that they will be doing this for 2015. Guess I trust you more then them though.

Would be a popular option, I think.

But you can add them yourself after the fact...skid plates, tow hooks (requires some minor modification of the front fascia), wheels/tires. So if you want the Summit lux goodies but also want off road, you absolutely have the ability to do that. It only takes...money.
I agree with this statement. Also, the ground clearance is not different but the angle of approach is different. I am pretty sure the summit fascia is not lower to the ground but sticks out further down front. If someone can measure and confirm. Same on the side skirts and rear.

Where the AoA is critical, the Summit will lose to the Overland. If you remove the front fascia on both like designed for serious off roading it will be that much better.

Regarding the aggressive tires and wheels on a summit that would personal preference. There is a member here who puts the 18" factory for winter and I think they look better than the stock 20" summit wheels.

I certainly agree that the aggressive wheels/tires on the Summit as opposed to the Overland would be personal preference. IMO any "posh" looking SUV looks funny with meaty tires. The Overland looks a bit more rugged and therefore will pull off a more aggressive tire and wheel better. But like I said, that's just my preference.

Even the Overland looks funny with to much tire IMO.

I'll try and pop by the dealer to measure under the front bumpers of the Summit and the Overland.

Also maybe worth pointing out that the lower portion of Overland (and below) front fascia is removeable for even more clearance and approach angle. Not so for Summit (or SRT). My '08 WK has this feature as well, definitely great for off-roading.

Can anyone confirm that wk2jeeps.com is correct? A 2014-2015 Limited 4x4 with V8 or Diesel would come standard with ELSD? This would effectively mean it comes with QDII, even without ORAII, which leads me to believe it's not right.

Are you sure the summit does not remove? It has the thumb nuts just like the overland?

The information has now been corrected, still some fine-tuning to do, can get quite complicated lol.

The premium sound should be an option on the Laredo a d standard on Limited. There was a lot they could have taken from the Limited and I wouldn't care but not the sound system. I still feel the Harmon Kardon system should be an option on more of the lineup. Ford neutered the Explorer, Chevy ditched the Trail Blazer, and the Durango sits too low. I was looking for something with the capabilities of SUVs when they we're SUVs. Jeep makes the only one and they are ruining what they have. I feel that this whole upscale movement that all the manufacturers are making is stupid. I hate that everything is becoming about status. **** status. I want a off road capable SUV with a few nice things like the 8.4AN and premium sound. I don't even want leather or heated seats. Basically if they still optioned the Laredo like they used to I would be looking at that.
4runner might fit your bill...not my choice but it is an SUV that sits high.

It's. $600 to add the full nav (8.4AN) from the factory when you order with the Lux ll package. Better to get the 8.4AN factory installed than having the dealer add nav to the 8.4A. You lose a couple of features with dealer installed nav.

Re: 2015 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I'd like if the overland logo was embroidered on the rear seats like the summit logo is. I'm probably the only one but I think it looks better.
