Some wheels and more aggressive tires may look odd on the more posh looking Summit. That's opinion though, I suppose.

I've not tried it yet, but the manual explains that the lower front facia has half-turn clips that allow you to pop the front off for better clearance. If one wants to take a Summit off road with equal clearance to the Overland, I think one would just pop the trim off both. Seems not even a screwdriver is needed! Depending on the terrain, worth considering the optional skid plate set-up which is not included as standard with the Summit.

Went in to order a 2015 today but the dealer was able to find the exact limited I was looking for (hemi, lux ii, OR Adv ii, 8.4AN, granite crystal metallic) in a 2014. Price is right, so I guess I'm not waiting for a 2015!

Congrats. I ordered a 2015 Overland Hemi today and have my VON already. Now just waiting for the updates. Used the DC group buy, btw.

What dealer and salesman did you decide to go with?

Just make sure you get a better deal on the 14 then you can get on a 15. I might have been able to find what I ordered in a left over 14, but did not want an extra year worth of depreciation right off the bat.

Congrats though. I'm not looking forward to the wait for my 15!

Perhaps so. I'm not even sure what exactly the clearance difference is. The Summit just visually looks lower. Maybe it's not much different at all.

That being said, I would not want to take it off all the time to get through some snow. It can get DEEP at times in Tahoe!

I'm surprised the Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist+, LaneSense™ Lane Departure Warning+ and Wireless charging pad weren't added to the 2015 GC when they were available on the 2014 Cherokee (Jeep by the way did an excellent job with the 2014 Cherokee...I look forward to see such great design ideas in the 2016 GC).

I honestly didn't think they would be able to find a 2014. Not sure if the price is much better than I could get on a 2015, but is close to 4% below the invoice. Haven't signed any papers yet. Going back in the morning. How good of a deal were you able to get?

I got 3.55% below invoice out in CA on my 2015 Overland w/ Diesel, Advanced Tech, and QDII. (Better then True Cars "Great buy" price) Could not do any better over here.

You can get 5.5% below invoice in Houston TX, and 7% below invoice in DC though. For me, the cost to go out to TX and drive back or ship the Jeep home, negated the 2% difference in price. The 7% in DC is great, but is clear across the country (esp since I'm more rural Northern CA)

IMO I think if you show them what you could get in TX and DC, you should be able to push a 14 a little lower. Explain to them you are taking a little more hit on depreciation by buying a 14 instead of ordering a 15.

Yup, I am surprised and disappointed about this as well. The only other major thing that bothered me was not having the HK audio option on the Overland.

Thanks JsnMR2! Great to be able to bounce these prices around to get the best deal!

Thanks for all your hard work.

That's a bummer though. I wish Jeep wasn't so intent on forcing QuadraLift.
