Well I'm 6'4" so similar size. Doesn't bother you much?
Great place to hear everyone's opinion, I wish we had group buys here, though...

I thought it would drive me nuts, it doesn't.
I did a 24 person group buy through this forum when the MY14 was released. I can tell you it makes no difference on the price you can negotiate yourself.
It was buyers from Vic, NSW, QLD and NT.
You can get better prices now that the car is older.

Depending on the terrain, worth considering the optional skid plate set-up which is not included as standard with the Summit.

Sorry I'm a couple of days late with this, but I was in Moab for Grand Slam West '14 doing some mild wheeling with my "posh" Summit CRD (including the Mopar dark gray 18" wheels and GY Duratracs, full skids and tow hooks). And yes, I did scrape the lower surface of that darned fascia a couple of times, but after all it's a Jeep. And, it could get damage just like that from hitting a curb.

From my tow hook installation, I can assure you that the lower fascia is not removable like the Overland or the others, although mine does also have the 5 removable fasteners on the bottom. But I also had to remove 2 bolts in the fender wells (one on each side), and them remove the entire bumper cover. The lower fascia is fastened to the upper bumper cover with a bunch of plastic tabs from the back side, and most are not within reach with the bumper installed.

Having said that, esports15 was also there with his Overland, and looking at his it seems that the Summit lower fascia may be made to be removable; I'm going to attempt it sometime soon. With his lower fascia on, the ground clearance appears to be the same as mine. Without it - well, no comparison.

BTW, everyone who sees mine says it looks a lot better with the more aggressive tires and wheels (they're the same color as the dark gray lower trim) than with the "bling" chrome 20s. Each to his/her own I guess...

Re: 2015 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I saw this online today. Is there any truth to the changes they outline within this article? I noted that Milous didn't point out some of these changes. Thanks.

I'd say that's a big fat NO.

"Here comes the all new 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee version and it comes with all new facelift."

NOPE...

That's just one of those ad-revene generating websites. Can't trust them. But yeah, just ignore the info in that link.

Sweet! That's a game-changer. I may be (trailhawk 2) interested if they don't (trailhawk 2) come out with another (trailhawk 2) special edition (trailhawk 2)

Crap. I didn't think of that but I'm not sure if I trust the CRD quite yet anyways but the ORii package would come in handy.
