Re: 2015 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Yep, what Jim said, we don't have a delay in the CRD production, it only effects North Merica. But we wont see MY15 realistically until mid Jan 2015.
That will be fun, dealers having to sell a brand new model year, that is already a calendar year old.

Re: 2015 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

So why is it that we don't have a production delay for export Diesels to Australia, yet they wont be available at the dealers until Jan 2015?

Leo Mullers at Albion claimed December delivery, if it doesn't arrive by then I'm going to de-bone the salesman's dog !

How is selling a 2015 in January of 2015, considered a full calendar year old?

Did I miss something?

Remember you have about two months from leaving the factory to getting to your dealer, sometimes longer. They don't start building export straight away. Looking at the MY14 timeline for start of US sales to first car arriving in Aus and apply that to MY15, we should get the mid Jan.
It was the same situation for MY14, Nth Merica CRDs were way behind export, still meant we didn't see the first cars until mid June.

It becomes a situation when considering resale. They would get advertised as a 2014 MY15 car, and therefore worth less than a 2015 MY15 only built a short time later. This is the hardest car for dealers to clear at full price. People are prepared to wait another couple of months to get a 2015 MY15.

The reasons why I would wait for MY15 (CRD Overland) is in the hope that the MY14 DPF issue and the CV Boot issue are sorted.

However I'm sure that "deals" at this time for MY14 must be attractive.

WK2jeeps.com says the dual exhaust is no longer standard with all engines on the Limited. That isn't listed in the changes here?
