Thank you, don't have many miles on it yet, but the ride is quite good on the freeway and the Alpine sound system is very good. I am no audiophile, so it's good enough for my ears.

Interested to see what kind if mileage I get with the 8speed tranny. Taking a run to Chicago in a couple weeks so that will give me a good measure.

Got the stock Overland in Granite w/black interior and 20inch wheels. So far everything is perfect, hopefully it stays that way. Glad to find the garage and looking forward to learning about my wk2.

Re: 2015 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I have been reading the posts here since I picked up my 2015 GC 4X4 Limited on August 14 (ordered on June 24). This is my fourth Grand Cherokee after going AWOL for the last seven years with a Land Rover.

I am extremely happy with the vehicle. Vehicle info: Maximum Steel Metallic; Black/Light Frost; Preferred Pkge 23H; Advanced Technology Group; Luxury Group II; Uconnect NAV and Off-Road Adventure II. And one chrome tipped exhaust.

I did the Uconnect software upgrade yesterday (I don't see or hear any difference).

Anyway, I decided to join the forum and perhaps I can contribute something down the road.

Still no update on the web page for the 2015 model year. I wonder when they're gonna do it.

Re: 2015 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Milous, any idea when they will do the announcement and update the web site for the 2015s? Is Sept 8 still the open the book date for diesels? This is a pain especially since I cannot find any dealer here, in Ohio, or DC who will even take a tentative order until they know what the price of the diesel will be or if the order book opening will bring a price increase.

Re: 2015 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Got a call from Jeep Customer Care informing me of an October build date for my Limited Diesel (no specific date yet). Because of the delay, they will add a complementary 2 year service contract.

Got the same call yesterday. They said that it would include free oil changes.

Question Re: 2015 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I’m trying to decide between a 2014 and 2015 Overland. One of the few differences I found is that the 2015 technology group comes with “Forward collision warning with stop”, vs. the 2014 with “Forward collision warning with crash mitigation”. I have read that the 2014 would apply some brake to slow the vehicle, but not enough to stop it completely. It appears that the 2015 has been programmed to now come to a complete stop. My question is, was this a software update, which effectively gives the 2014 full stop capability as well, or is this only a feature available on the 2015 model?

That's the first time I have seen that distinction in writing. I have a 2015 but I haven't really tested the FCW yet.

CRD pricing is available in the dealer order guides, and has been for quite awhile. The latest guide, issued last week, contains selected price increases, but no pricing changes on the CRD option. I have been told that barring any further delays, ordering will open on Monday.

The ACC with Stop & Go was included in later build 2014's....mine was built March 2014 and has it. I don't remember when it became part of it for the 2014 model year in 2013...

My 12/4 build has it too, July was crossover month, forget day. I think he is referring to the crash mitigation application of this independent of ACC use...I read about this somewheres else...

I found this difference in verbiage on the window stickers. I wouldn't mind getting the 2014, as long as it comes with "stop". Is there any way to tell for sure? I was wondering if this was an update to the software of all GC's with Forward Collision Warning systems. I have yet to talk to anyone at a dealership that has a clue!
