Re: 2015 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Just subscribing.

New member here and I plan on ordering a 2015 JGC Overland w/ Diesel (First Jeep) on the 6th next month when the order banks open up. Already have one dealer quoting $1,300 below invoice. Trying to work em down a bit more.

Looking forward to keeping up on the 15' changes in this thread.

Depends on the vehicle and options maybe, but you should be able to do a little better. According to Edmunds, the fair market value on the Overland was about 2.2 to 2.3% under invoice when I checked a couple weeks ago. 3% under would be a reasonable starting point. Since apparently no significant changes for the 2015 model, then you should still be able to get a similar 2% to 3% under invoice price for 2015 and perhaps much better than that for the remaining old 2014 models.

What declining rate of growth?

All I see is an incline. Those years, 2006-2009 don't count, even the more recent years prior, and here's why...

1. Commander cannibalized Grand Cherokee sales.
2. The economic recession that might as well have been a depression.
3. The collapse of the auto industry.
4. The "Big Liberty" WK Grand Cherokee. People weren't buying it because it was exactly as described. It wasn't Grand. It was just a bigger Liberty.
5. And the big one... increased competition.

A 2014 optioned the way I want MSRP is approx $54,500. Invoice is approx 2k less then the MSRP. $52,500 x .03 = $1,560 under invoice. Looks like I already have them about 2.5% below invoice with the 1.3k under already quoted to me. I'm sure I can push another .5% out of them.

Would not buy a 14 right now. With 15's rolling out soon, you would experience extra depreciation right off the bat buying a 14 at this point. That is my reasoning for waiting for a 15. That and, they only seem to stock tan interiors where I live. (It's hot) I want the indigo/brown interior. I think it looks great!

My point was moot from the start since Fiat is targeting the global market and that is where the growth is. I was talking about US market column in my original comment. The rate of growth in US has declined 2011 through 2013, though I bet the 2014 numbers will look better. I get the feeling the US market won't be that important going forward though.

year us sales growth rate (YoY)
2011 127,744 51%
2012 154,734 21%
2013 174,275 12%

Nice work. Start the "2015 prices paid" thread when you are done to let us know how it goes. I'm still lobbying my better half for the 2015 GC over alternatives despite few/no feature changes. Problem is she will drive this vehicle Monday through Friday with kids and thinks she has the right to participate in the decision...

Are you saying 2015 will not have ACC w/stop? Unlike current 2014s?

No, ACC w/Stop will continue on the models it's currently available on, SRT will not have it, at least not initially.

Re: 2015 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Milous,

My parents are going to order a 2015 as soon as the order banks open and they want a Limited and would like to know what wheels will be offered in 18 and 20 sizes. Are there any changes to the wheels upcoming for the 2015s when the order banks first open?

Guys (Milous),

Any changes to the grill / front bumper / fog - headlight look for the Overland '15 compared to the '14?

Thanks much

Any changes to interior color options? I'd like to see a silver trim option w/ the black leather. Not loving the black leather w/ copper that they have now (with no option for silver!).
