Interesting. You can't do that on the 2014s.

Well then, just to clarify for anyone else wanting to verify other trim levels, I have a 2015 altitude edition with the stock RA3 and it has a variety of themes available in the settings menu

Re: 2015 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Called Jeep... Not too happy with em.

They called (in September) and promised our Jeep would be built in October and that is not happening. Now they say all the parts needed to build are collected and it's scheduled to be built November 17th.

Buncha BS... I'll be 6 months into this before I get it.

Test drove a 14 SRT8 that my dealer has in stock. I decided I'd spend the extra money if I loved driving it. Actually, I was not impressed with the acceleration from a rolling start. Not impressive enough to give up the air suspension and off road capabilities of the Overland and the MPG's of the diesel. It feels very nice on the road, however.

I've been trying to convince myself to buy another SUV also. Anything else that I'd want would cost 85k + (Range Rover Sport, Cayenne)... Just not a fan of the other slightly more expensive options or the cheaper ones. (Q5, X5, 4Runner, ML etc) Might check out a Touareg...

Re: 2015 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Did they give you a reason why they waited until now to tell you? Did they tell you why there was a delay even when they opened the order banks in September?

With that information it sounds like the diesel my brother ordered 3 days after the diesel order bank opened won't be built until November either. That's horrible.

Mine was ordered MONTHS before your brothers. It better not be built before mine! lol..

They called me on their own in Sept to apologize and promised an October build date.. They did not wait to tell me until now. I only found out the November 17th build date by calling over and over and talking chasing them down myself.

That sucks. Would you be able to give me the phone number you called so that I can call and find out what's going on with ours? Thanks.

Re: 2015 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Just called the general customer support number on Jeeps website. The people who answer don't provide much info without pushing them. I'm supposed to receive a call back from a supervisor tomorrow.

Good question, don't have an answer yet. I have a feeling that they may retain those features for the Summit/SRT.

I would suspect the same--otherwise the differences between the Overland and Summit trim levels will be getting very thin and customers may not be very incentivized to step up to the Summit level.

Re: 2015 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I agree...I don't expect they would offer the "luxury" glass feature that is unique to the Summit. I'm actually surprised that the HK system will be available on the Limited. The Overland I can see because it addresses a similar high-end buyer as the Summit, but one that has more interest in off-road. But I suspect that they can make a buck with offering it and based their decision on that.

Except I have the accoustic windshield on my Overland .

Windshield hit by rock --pay difference between standard and accoustic windshield. Viola
