Just bought '15 summit with platinum system. Love it. First jeep. By way, active noise reduction, sounds very quiet to me. However, only active when in economic mode

Re: 2015 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I have a 2014 Overland fully loaded. If you buy the 4Runner just do yourself a favor and never ride in anyones Grand Cherokee or you will not forgive yourself the difference is so stark. Aftermarket rims and wheels will still be like putting lipstick on a pig. Its still a pig.

If you can spare the change wait. It's worth it mate. I've got my 2nd Jeep on order right now (A JK Wrangler Sahara Unlimited) to park beside my 2014 Overland. That tells you what I think about what Jeep is producing right now.

The Runner isn't as nice IMO, but get's the job done for sure. Better with some aftermarket wheels/tires on it.

I was debating with platinum, as i do like chrome, but more I see the platinum, more I like it. Body paint mirrors and door handles I think make it look sharp. Most luxury SUV do not load up on all the chrome (except American made). But I will say I would have been very happy without the platinum package and extra chrome.

HK sound system really is good. Base is outstanding. However, i do not see any equalizer options. Only manual adjustment of bass, mid, treble...am I missing something? Seems they should have presets in there....talk, jazz, rock, pop, etc...

I do like the background options. 7 total. Wonder if you can't download your own pics in.

Money is no issue and I've owned a wide array of cars. I've been in plenty of JGC and while IMO they are nice, they are no cream of the crop either. I won't argue that the JGC is nicer then the 4Runner.. Of course it is. This vehicle is to serve a purpose though.

Constant broken promises fro ma Brand that I'm new to, is not something I'm OK with. I'm on HALF A YEAR WAIT right now.

All that said, I'm still hopeful that this new promise of a Nov 17th build is going to be the truth.

congrats! that's the setup i'd be interested in (don't have one yet). what did you trade from if you don't mind me asking, and have you had a jeep before? were you concerned about reliability (ratings, etc.)?

what engine/drivetrain did you get? what colors? oh and where are you located?

thanks for sharing!!

Anyone have any idea when the OEM Remote Starter Kit will be available for the 2015 Larado?

Hello,

Does anyone know the part numbers for the two items listed below for the 2015 Summit. I have a 2014 Summit and would like to add these items if possible. My interior color for the carpet is Jeep Brown (HL-U5). Thanks for any assistance with this.

New: Premium Berber Carpet in Cargo Area (Summit)
New: Illuminated Door Sill Plates (Summit)

I got black summit, with black interior. Really do like the barber carpet mats. I was driving Lincoln MKZ, first jeep. No worries about quality. Live in minnepolis metro, Local jeep dealer in MN offers lifetime power train warranty as well. I got the gas V6. I commute about 100 miles a day. Thought about diesel, but zero payback when comparing to the V6. Right now, diesel is 30% higher than gas, so negates the 20% fuel improvement over V6. So far, getting about 24mpg on Highway. Plenty of power. First snow and handles unbelievable
