Re: 2015 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Brother talked to the dealer twice today. First time they said his diesel was done and waiting in Detroit for delivery to Texas. He bought through the group buy. Then the real salesman called him back and informed him that it was not complete but in pre production status. No date on when it would start production. They did mention that they believe the delay is due to some kind of exhaust problem. Possible DEF injector vulnerability? He's going to call the corporate number tomorrow and find out what the deal is.

Good luck. People at corporate as near worthless. I've called a large number of times. I've found out more info here... I've asked the supervisor to return my call 3 times now. I'll be trying to get ahold of her once again tomorrow.

I'm very very very close to canceling. Will go 2015 1500 Ram diesel or 2015 F150 if I end up canceling. Ordered mine 6.11.14

I can understand your disappointment. I'd be looking for something else as well. This is real bad publicity for Jeep.

Way to class up yet another thread - you seriously need to keep your opinions to yourself.

How bout you contribute something useful to this thread about 2015 changes instead of crapping it up with diesel whining... is this the wahhhh my diesels not in production yet thread?

I mean if fiat Chrysler doesn't even want to build them because of issues I'm not sure why you clowns are all waiting in line 6 months to buy them. Move on.

Its 90 pages now and if people actually would like to know the changes its like finding a needle in a haystack in here.

If you actually read this thread you would see that I contributed an unknown change that no one had mentioned before or likely even knew about with the uconnect units. Unlike the garbage you continue to post in here.

Bet you're the life of any party huh. We like diesel motors.. We ordered them with the intent to drop 50k+ and we are all disappointed that nothing is happening. Sorry we all like something better then your standard little V6 (no offense to anyone else, but some of us just want a diesel!). Get the F over it and move along if you don't like it.

That being said. After another delay... AGAIN... I'm canceling my order with Jeep.

2015 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I didn't know it until another forum member mentioned it in a post - I too blocked the smug little bastard. Now I never have to read any of his posts.

For the rest of you that are waiting for your eco-diesel's, and for those of you that have canceled I am truly sorry for your pain, but that being said - the motor is well worth the wait.

Nothing beats the torque of a diesel. The performance is great, efficiency is great. What scared me away is all the emissions technology; DPF, urea, and potential costs down the road. How have the fiat engines performed long term? Anyone know the B 10 life of them? Any concern on resale value 3-5 years down the road?

At end of day, if any company advertises products, and can not deliver, they will loose customers. Can't blame you all for canceling orders. If you are diesel fans, you for sure will not be happy with the gas V6, the performance is not even close.

I have the V6, for my purposes (100 mile commute dialy) it works for me. I Am a diesel fan, but will probably wait next round in a few years to jump in once I know the US auto industry is committed to diesel. All those battery powered cars are junk, diesel is way to go. Just go anywhere else in world, that is what they run....

That's why I'll go for the diesel anyways, just in a different ride! Ram 1500 for me.
