It was still chrome.

Oddly enough the female who I was questioning about the differences informed me that this was the same exact altitude that has been touring the entire auto show circuit since November 2014. I purchased my '15 in Mid-December and she said there should be no differences between my vehicle and the one at the car show. Obviously I knew she was incorrect just looking at the rear.

It's probably due to the lighting and the glossy black bezels. I compared my tails to my neighbors (with the SRT) and they are the same. But now I also have mine tinted so doesn't matter

LOL. Who's rear?

Well these minor changes mean a price upgrade. It will be a whole lot cheaper for me to tint out the tails. To bad it wasn't showing more changes.

How about the inside? Were you able to take a peek?

If they are tinted it doesn't matter correct, but they are different lights. They are from the Red Vapor package SRT's. Not regular SRT's. I'm willing to bet the window trim on the altitude III is black like the red vapor srt also.

Re: 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude III

On the order list, everything from the altitude II was still there. I questioned the salesman about any potential changes because of what I had read on other posts. He had no info

Re: 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude III

Hi Everyone -

New to the forum. Currently debating between the Limited and Altitude and have been weighing the pros and cons. I'm leaning towards to the Altitude mostly because of the look and that the Limited no longer includes the 9 speaker stereo (who pays $42k for a car with the base radio?). But, lease rates are better on the Limited, so I'm still in the air.

Anyway, on the Jeep site, I noticed that the pics of the Altitude look like they have silver interior trim instead of the rose gold color. I wonder if that might be part of the change for version III. Or maybe it's just the way they filtered the color on the pic. I think that interior would look great with more of a silver tone trim.

Re: 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude III

jay, AFAIK, there's no difference in the color of the interior trim pieces unless something has changed. But I certainly could be wrong about that.

On the lease, the Limited likely has a better residual value than the lesser equipped Altitude. In general, higher trim levels are better targets for folks who want to lease because of that. In fact, that's a major reason why many people lease...to get the higher level features and other things that only come on upper trim levels (or premium vehicles) at a more affordable monthly cost. (As long as they are not high mileage drivers, of course) While the Altitude has a nice feature package, it's still a Laredo and therefore, doesn't hold it's value as well as a Limited, Overland or Summit.

Re: 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude III

I think they are in production now. A few folks have mentioned seeing them. My local dealer has a few in transit that say Altitude III on the sticker, according to their website.
