2015 JGC Altitude III Package

Hopefully this thread will help someone that is on the market or on the fence. Always wanted the Altitude when it first came out in 2012. Got the 4 x 2 Granite Crystal Altitude III package with the silver console and black tail lights. Got option with sunroof, rear-view camera, and 9 speaker w/subwoofer.

First Impression: Looks awesome and aggressive. Already getting looks on the road. Love the blackout finishes. The 8" touchscreen is easy to use and the digital tachometer display is useful. The V6 has adequate power when you need it, smooth transmission, overall good drive. Seats are not the best or comfortable but seems durable. Interior finish based on the Laredo model is very basic, no stitching details, bare bone & lackluster when you compare to higher models.

Main reason I got it was that I needed a mid-size SUV to put my dog and go to Home Depot and lug stuff which the Altitude will provide. Also the exterior is one of the most aggressive on the market. Consider the Overland, which was $5k more MSRP, but didn't really care about the leather seats, panoramic roof and hated the chrome accents. Now, I heard there will be a High Altitude model based off on the Overland in 2016 - too late for me, and no I'm not exchanging or trading in.

Actually it will be available starting the end of July as a late MY15 and then continue into MY16.

Yeah I think there will be a $10k diff from Altitude vs High Altitude as it's more expensive than Overland.

What I meant was the DID display on the tachometer.

White and black seem to be the most popular. The white is particularly sharp. The black is just mean looking! I think the silver and granite also look very nice. I went with the granite myself and love it. But my neighbor has an altitude in black and I stare at that one just as long as mine

Good luck!

I don't think you can go wrong with any color as it's subjective. The Altitude is an aggressive trim overall and a lot of people do like the way it looks.

I was debating for Granite Crystal or Steel Metallic but very few Steel to choose from with option I wanted so went with Granite Crystal.

Thanks. I am looking at both Black and granite crystal as well. I really love the way all of the colors look actually. Very hard for me to decide on that.

The dealership by me has 4 diff colors in all with Altitude III packages as well as speaker upgrade, power liftgate/sunroof, and backup camera/censors. Quoted me at 34,300 before tax/title/dealer fees.

You don't have to disclose your price, but does that price seem fair to you?

I'm assuming that's a 4 x 2...what State are you in?

$34,300 is a pretty good deal be4 tax, title dealer fees. It's similar price to some at the group buys in Texas and The other one @ East Coast. After all that I'm assuming the car will be around $36k OTD.

Mine was a lease so my monthly is diff.

Yeah it is a 4x2. And I am in GA. Thanks for the feedback. I'll try and get them a little lower and try to wrap this up this weekend.

Now all I have to do is win the mental debate I have on color. Thanks!
