Here are the ones that they recommend.

Thule Removable Roof Rack Crossbars for Jeep Grand Cherokee - Item # TR486056 #TR486056

These mount to the door frames.
I have the Thules; solid as a rock with a long enough spread to carry long stuff safely and if you have a sunroof, no issues. They do not mount to the frames, but on them. No drilling of anything. Once you install them the first time, on/off in minutes. I only mount them when I need them. The MOPAR bars won't work for me.

I could be wrong, but the altitude "rails" aren't really rails. They are more of a plastic cap so that you get the Blacked out look. Non-altitude Jeeps come with a set of chrome roof rails which you can put crossbars on. If they changed this for the 14-15's I apologize, but for the 2011-13 jeeps, thats how altitude were.

edit: You may have to get the molar roof rails.

Re: 2015 JGC Altitude roof rails

I have a 2015 Altitude. The rails look like they are for decoration and not functional. I didn't get a chance to ask the dealer. I didn't plan to put on crossbars since I am planning to put in a tow hitch for my bikes and snowboards.

I think you have to replace the rails to functional ones in order to put the crossbars on.
