Re: 2015 Limited V6 loses dual exhaust

Yep, went into the dealer last week after they were pestering me to upgrade to a 2015 now that the warranty has run out on my 2012. Noticed that the Fiat bean-counters have been at work and told them that the lack of dual exhaust on the Limited I was looking at was a deal breaker. The offered to swap out the exhaust to a factory dual for $1500. Needless to say, I am sticking with my 2012 and going to wait for the 2016-17 redesign.

Question, when did they start using fake wood trim in the limited? Can you get real wood trim as an option? ( the one I looked at was a dark wood trim but when the sun hit it you could see how fake it was... It looked hideous especially with the gold painted trim)

Are you sure that you are not so used to seeing wood with so much urethane on it so it looks like plastic, that you don't recognize real, open pore wood?

It's not real wood on the Limited; it's plastic. Get an Overland and you get real wood.

Re: 2015 Limited V6 loses dual exhaust

I thought limited had real wood but glossy and overland and summit had real wood but open pore....it is laredo's that have the "fake wood" (that actually looks darn good to me though as I like it).

Yes I've seen open pore wood BMW's that's real... The wood in the limited was not real... When you looked at it in direct sunlight you could see the grain patterns were printed as opposed to being real grain marks like on the BMW that you can also feel if you run you finger nail through it... I apologize if I've offended anyone that was not my intent... I know it's all subjective I was just curious if anyone knew if it was the synthetic or if it was real?

Grand Cherokee Laredo and Limited interiors were inspired by the cultures and environments of Morocco and New Zealand. The Black interiors were inspired by the Moroccan lifestyle seen at night with its warm metallic golden accents. The seats, instrument panel, consoles and door panels are a Black monotone and feature a Miknasa Walnut interior trim finish.

The New Zealand interior is two-tone Black and Light Frost. Nador Brown Walnut interior trim finish with light anodized driftwood adorns the instrument and door panels and eases the contrast between the two-tone upper and lower interior.

Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited models have a slight gold hue to their brushed aluminum look and add Capri leather seating, bright sill scuff plates and bright metal accents to the bottom edge of the wood interior finishes.

The one at looked at had a black interior so it must be miknasa walnut that I'm not used to seeing... Thank you bill for clarifying.... I'm still holding out one more year hoping they offer a refined aluminum with bright silver accents option like they did in the WK S-Limited.

My last vehicle was an MDX that had 'plastic' wood. The first Grand Cherokee I looked at was a 13 Overland. The salesman told me the wood trim was fake.

Re: 2015 Limited V6 loses dual exhaust

IMO taking away the dual exhaust on the V-6 Limited is a way of upselling to the Overland model. But in this price range, dual exhaust should be an expectation, it's what the consumer expects and wants.

Re: 2015 Limited V6 loses dual exhaust

I think 95% of buyers don't care if it's dual or single exit exhaust.

I was just going to suggest that most people don't know what they have now. You can't get a good read of this on a car forum. But if you asked the first ten people you see in the mall, at the movies or whatever, who cares, would likely be the most common answer.
